Sioned arrives back in the village by taxi, and as people watch,

| "They're all stariing at me!" |
she complains that everyone is staring at her; “It’s none of their business!” she snarls, as she and her mother go into the shop flat.

| "Men who attack women should be locked up!" |
Gwyneth joins Anita and Kelly outside number 10, and comments, “Poor Sioned – what Ed did was terrible! Men who attack women should be locked up for a long time!” She walks away.

| Just the person Kath did not want to see |
Kath is in the café and is not at all pleased to see Diane come in;

| "The 'all you can eat buffet' at Cwm Delhi" |
“I’ve been trying to get hold of you all week,” Diane tells her, “Dai and I are thinking of going out to the ‘all you can eat buffet’ at Cwm Delhi – it’s happy hour before five. We’d like you to come – to thank you for playing cupid!

Kath manufactures some babysitting that she has to do tonight, in order to escape from the meal.

| Chester boasts of his wild house party . . . |
Hannah meets Chester outside the shop, and he boasts of feeling terrible, with the after-effects of a houseparty last night; “It was carnage! A couple of year 12 girls were all over me – I was cringing in school this morning – awkward!”

Hannah appears downhearted as he swaggers off.

| "If people know what she was doing!" |
Kelly furiously paces up and down, complaining, “She’s playing the victim, as if butter wouldn’t melt! If people knew that she’s been doing . . .”

| "The sooner Ed is arrested, the better" |
Anita points out that Sioned is just out of hospital, and the question of who started it is immaterial. She insists that the sooner Ed is arrested, the better.

| "He didn't do it!" |
“He didn’t push her!” protests Kelly, “We had a chat the other night – he didn’t do it! What matters is proving his innocence and exposing her for what she is!”

| Anita views the evidence |
She takes out her phone and shows Anita the photos.
Kelly continues, “He let me take them when he was here, but he was so scared of Sioned, that he wouldn’t let me show them to the cops – now I can’t hold back – the truth has to come out!”

| "You can't tell the police that!" |
Anita is adamant that Kelly cannot let the police know she has seen Ed, as she could be accused of withholding evidence.

| "You're not thinking straight, Kelly!" |
She refuses to give Kelly back the phone, arguing, “You’re not thinking straight, so I’ll have to do the thinking for you, before you do something you regret.” She marches upstairs with the phone.

| "Why did you tell Diane you can't come?" |
Kath has adjourned to the Deri, where Dai finds her, demanding why she told Diane she could not join them for ‘all she can eat’.

“She just wants to tell you how grateful she is for everything you did – ask Mark to babysit for you!”

| Kath thinks she has lost the argument |
He will not take no for an answer, and leaves, saying, “See you later!”

Ricky seems to be having problems with the sandwich toaster; “Haven’t you made a toastie before?” asks Hannah,

then enquires, “Is Chester popular with the girls at school?”

| "He's not popular with anyone!" |
“Chester?” says Ricky, incredulously, “He’s not popular with anyone, especially the girls – do you fancy him or something?”

Hannah denies any such suggestion, but mentions that she was told by Chester that he was out last night, and all the girls were throwing themselves at him.

Ricky puts her straight; “Well, he was over here last night, playing on the console – anyway, he never snogged anyone – apart from you! No-one else will touch him, especially of he goes on and on about snogging you like he did last week!”

Hannah is most displeased to hear this.

| Sioned still feels under the weather |
Sioned wants to use Eileen’s washing machine, and sits down as she does not feel very well. “I don’t understand why he hasn’t come home,” she wails,

“I sent him messages – he knows I’ve forgiven him!”

| "He could have killed you!" |
Eileen points out that he could have killed her.
DS Davies appears with some information that Sioned might find disturbing;

“We found Mr Charles’ belongings on top of a cliff. We’ve considered every possibility – he may have wandered off – but we are searching the coastline.”

The sergeant’s next call is at the café flat, and on the way Kelly asks what is going on;

she is told about the police findings. Kelly tells Anita that she needs to borrow her car,

but Anita does not consider this a good idea, as she is too upset, so Kelly will find someone else to take her.

Hannah arrives at the chip shop flat with a bottle of water for Chester’s hangover, and asks where this ‘huge’ night took place.

Chester improvises, “Er, just outside Cwrtmynach.”
Hannah remarks, “Weird – Ricky told me you were with him – you must have a doppelganger!

“And another thing – don’t brag to people that you kissed me! I want my reputation intact – save your energy for your hangover!”

Then she storms out of the flat.

Eileen finds Sioned packing her case; “I’m going back to the flat –

“when Ed comes home, I want to be there. I belong in my own home.” Eileen protests that she is not strong enough, but Sioned is determined,

In Cwm Delhi, Kath feels uncomfortable in the company of the love-birds; Diane asks, “Did you take your tablets? You know you have to take them before meals –

“go home and get them.” When Dai obediently does so, Diane tells Kath, “Now we can have a proper chat – mind you, I’m not going to tell you everything –

| "Ed's stuff was on a clifftop" |
Eileen tells her about the discovery of Ed’s stuff on the clifftop. Gwyneth looks shocked,

then glances up grimly at the window of the café flat.

| "What if he's killed himself?" |
Kelly arrives home in a distraught state; “What if he’s killed himself?” she demands.

Anita tries to calm her, commenting that people go wandering off, and that he had a lot on his mind.

“This is one person’s fault,” Kelly insists, “I want my phone back, because the cops have to see the photos!”

| "They won't prove anything!" |
Again Anita refuses, maintaining that the photos will prove nothing at all; she should forget them and concentrate on trying to find Ed.

“He’s still here . . . isn’t he?” Kelly pleads, doubtfully.
In Cwm Delhi, Diane is going on about the roses Dai brought to say sorry

| Kath concocts a severe headache . . . |
when Kath suddenly develops a terrible headache, which she explains will only subside if she lies down in a dark room;

thus she manages to escape.

| "Where's she gone, all of a sudden?" |
Moments later Dai returns to find Kath absent.

| "Aaron said that Ed's lost" |
In the Deri flat, Gwern asks Gwyneth, “Is Ed lost? That’s what Aaron said.”

She assures him that Ed has simply gone for a walk, and will come back.

| However, Gwyneth looks worried |
As she prepares to read his book with him, she looks concerned.

Dai follows Kath to Maes-y-Deri, where he asks about her headache; “What’s going on? Are you in trouble with the tablets again?”

She is emphatic that this is not the case,

| "I'm here to listen and help" |
so he continues, “I don’t believe you – something is going on here. Tell me – I’m here to listen and help. Otherwise I’ll have to speak to Mark.”

Kath blurts out, “I like you, Dai! I have feelings for you!”

| Dai is eager to get out of there |
Dai is taken aback, and thinks he had better go.

| "Ed, is that you?" |
Sioned hears footsteps on the stairs, and calls out, “Ed, is that you?”

| Her mother has brought food |
It is Eileen, who has brought her something to eat, as she does not like the thought of Sioned being alone.

“Ed will be home soon, and what sort of wife would I be if I wasn’t here?” Sioned asks.

Her mother points out that he may not be coming back, and she should prepare herself for that.

“How can you say that?” Sioned snarls, “You don’t know Ed like I do – he’d never do something like that! It would suit you if Ed’s gone – your life would be easier then. You’re twisted, Mam, but I’ll never give up on him! Go home – I don’t want you here!”
