| "You need new glasses!" |

| "I shouldn't have said what I did" |
“I’ve come to buy a bag of cement to fill the hole I’ve got into,” she says, and he considers that she will need more than one bag. “I shouldn’t have said what I did – Diane is a good friend, she says, “And I don’t want to spoil that.”
| "It's hard – because of all my charm!" |
“I know how hard it is – because of all the charm I’ve got,” brags Dai, “Mam used to tell me that all that charm would get me into hot water. I’m worried that something I said made you think there was more between us.” Kath reassures him that there is nothing like that, and he promises, “You’ll get over me – there are better men than me out there – well, not better, just different!”
| "Glad you're feeling better, Kath" |
As she is about to leave, Diane comes in and is glad she is feeling better, Kath makes a hasty exit.

“I found out about it while you were away – she was hooked on prescription tablets,” he explains,
| "Why didn't she talk to me?" |
and when asked why she did not tell Diane this, he replies, “You weren’t here, so I stepped in. The only thing that matters now is that she’s getting better.”
| "And she was suffering in silence!" |
Diane is concerned that she is going on about her problems, and telling her how useless Dai was, while the whole time Kath was suffering in silence. Dai points out, “The worst was over by the time you cam back, so there’s no point in saying anything,” says Dai, “So I want you to promise not to breathe a word to Kath.”
Eileen comes downstairs to the café and tells Kelly that the police have stopped the search; “Things are not looking good,” she concludes.
| At last, Sioned opens the bag . . . |
Upstairs, Sioned takes Ed’s jacket from the package,
| . . . but as she looks at the ring, someone arrives |
and looks at his ring; Kelly appears in the doorway and begins berating Sioned;
| "You've got Ed's blood on your hands!" |
“You’ve got Ed’s blood on your hands! Ed’s dead, Sioned! Is that Ed’s stuff, that the cops found? What are you going to do with it? You shouldn’t be in charge of his stuff!”
| "But I'm his wife!" |
Sioned protests that she is his wife;
| "You were – and didn't make a very good job of it!" |
Kelly snarls, “You were his wife – and you didn’t make a very good job of it!”
| "He took this off because he hated you!" |
As she takes the ring from Sioned, she goes on, “He took off his ring because he hated you – you pushed him over the edge. You’ve killed him!”
| Kelly hands back the ring |
She gives the ring back and walks away.
| "I can't believe I'll never see him again!" |
Sioned goes back to her mothers and whimpers, “I can’t believe that I’ll never see him again – it doesn’t make sense – I loved him so much.
| "We were going to the Mumbles" |
“We were supposed to be going to the Mumbles for a walk – he bought new walking boots and everything. He obviously didn’t think I was there for him.”
| "It was all Ed's fault" |
Eileen argues that it was all Ed’s fault, and his choice.

| "You should have seen her just now!" |
“you should have seen her just now!” Anita is outraged that she has been over to see Sioned, and will not return the phone,
| "You're too upset!" |
maintaining that Kelly is too upset.
| "Of course I'm upset!" |
“Of course I’m upset,” Kelly screams, “I could take the photos to the cops to prove Ed’s innocence!”
| "They won't bring him back" |
but Anita lamely replies that they will not bring Ed back. At the top of her voice, Kelly shrieks, “Get out! If you won’t help me, get out!” and Anita does so.
| "A piece of that cake, please, Gwen" |
In the café, Kath encounters Non, who buys her coffee and a cake;
| "I'm sure I've seen you somewhere before" |
Kath introduces herself and is sure she has seen Non somewhere before.
| "I'm here to visit family" |
“I’ve always lived in Brecon, and I’m here to visit family,” Non tells her.
| Mark is concerned . . . |
Mark comes in and is horrified to see them together,
| . . . and his expression causes Non to leave |
which causes Non to leave rather rapidly, and Kath is surprised to see Mark leave straight after her.
| "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" |
When he catches up with her, he demands, “What do you think you’re doing” Don’t go talking to my Mam – I hope you didn’t tell her.”
| "I would never do that" |
Non replies that she had no intention of so doing.

| "It's my fault that Ed killed himself!" |
Eileen brings Sioned tea, and she wails, “It’s my fault that Ed’s killed himself – it’s true! Listen to me, Mam – it’s all my fault!” Eileen disagrees, maintaining that after the things he did to her, Ed could not live with himself.
| "Ed was a coward who took the easy way out" |
“You’ve been abused, love,” she reassures Sioned, “You can’t see that at the moment – I know you still love him, but Ed was a coward, who took the easy way out.”
| Kath does not want to join Dai and Diane |
Kath goes to the Deri, and finds Dai and Diane there; she reluctantly joins them.
| "Dai mentioned your struggle with drugs" |
“Dai mentioned the struggle you’ve had with drugs,” Diane begins, “He had to tell me, as I could see something was wrong. I’m sorry, Kath, that I was not there for you – it must have been awful listening to me going on about Dai – and there you were, hooked on drugs.
| "I'm not hooked now, anyway!" |
Kath protests that she was not hooked on drugs – not now, anyway.
| Mark is feeling guilty about Non |
Mark tell Anita that Non seemed very upset, and fears that it is not easy for her, losing her mother; he wonders if he should contact her. Anita finds this strange , as he has been trying to get rid of her. “I made some cruel remarks – I told her that she was not part of my family.”
| "I'm not the best person to advise you" |
Anita does not consider she is the best person to give him advice, as things are difficult with Kelly at the moment, and she hurries off, giving the excuse that there is a lot to do at Awyr Iach.
| "I need to keep away from Dai and Diane for a while" |
