Gethin is about to go to work
Gethin is off to work;  Ffion remarks that he looks better this morning, but he admits that he keeps seeing Moc’s face when he closes his eyes.
"He's dead, but he wasn't punished!"
“He’s dead, but he wasn’t punished!” exclaims Gethin,
"At least, he won't have a funeral!"
“Well, at least he won’t have a funeral – no crying, no meaningless eulogies – just nothing, as if he’d never existed!”
"How about going to Llansteffan tomorrow?"
Ffion says that she is going to ask Gaynor for a day off tomorrow, and they can go out for the day;  “Llansteffan Beach, perhaps, to blow away the cobwebs.”   Gethin agrees that would be a good idea.
"I can't work with that sleaze ball!"

At Maes-y-Deri, Vicky says she is catching the bus into town to buy shoes for Nicky, but she does not know how she will pay for them.   “I can’t work in the Deri with that sleazeball Mathew!” she tells Mark.
Josh turns up uninvited again
Josh arrives, to see how Vicky is;  Mark is far from pleased to see him.    “Well, I’ve lost a friend and a job – I can’t work with Mathew any more,” Vicky tells him.
"I know whose fault this is!"
“There’s something you should know,” begins Josh, “I know whose fault this is!”
Mark fears he is about to be unmasked
Mark is getting anxious, but is amazed when Josh takes the blame.
"Me and my big mouth"
“Me and my big mouth – I asked Mathew what his intentions were with you, I wanted to be sure he’d treat you better this time.
Vicky is incredulous
“He must have misunderstood.”   Mark stands, open-mouthed, as he listens to this.
“I’m old, Vicky, and I’ve lost my marbles – will you forgive me, please?” begs Josh, “I didn’t sleep a wink last night – I was so worried about it.”   Vicky is not sure that Mathew will want to see her now.
"Tell him your grandfather is a nosy old fool"
Josh advises, “Of course he will – he thinks you’re gorgeous – and a laugh.   Go and see him – tell him your grandfather is a nosy old fool.”
Vicky appreciates that he was just worried about her, and proposes to go and see Mathew now.
Mark cannot quite believe this
Mark cannot believe he has been let off the hook so easily.
"Which should I wear for the adoption hearing?"
Sheryl asks Hywel to help her choose which dress to wear for the adoption hearing;  “This is a happy occasion, so we’re all going to wear colourful clothes,” she says,
"That's not for weeks"
but Hywel reminds her that it is not for weeks.
"I've been thinking about Wil"
She goes on, “I’ve been thinking about Wil – it would be nice if he was with us, don’t you think?   It’s time he met his new sister.”
Hywel is not keen on this
Hywel does not agree that it is right time, but she insists that he should be part of it;  he may be on the other side of the world,
"He's still part of this family"
but he is still part of this family.   Hywel thinks he may have arrangements of his own for the summer holidays;  “You know what boys are like at that age.”
She thinks that he does not want Wil to see them;  “Will you stop being so negative?” she demands, and takes the laptop from Hywel, so she can send Wil an e-mail.
Josh wishes Debbie could be this amiable
Josh tells Vicky it is a shame that her mother is not so amiable as her  then he sees Mathew, and urges her to go and speak with him, as he will be pleased to see her.
"I think we need a chat, Mathew"
“I think we need a chat,” she says, and Josh makes himself scarce.
Gethin espies Dani
Dani comes out of the Deri, and Gethin sees her;  he tells her that knowing she is on his side is a great help.
"He'd hate having no-one at his funeral!"
“He thought so much of himself, he’d hate having no one at his funeral!   Ffion and I are going to Llansteffan for a walk tomorrow – come with us!”
"I just want things back to normal"
Dani says that she is working, and has already had a lot of time off;  she just wants things to get back to normal.
"She was so upset last time"
Outside the shop, Mark tells Debbie, “You know how upset she was when he dumped her last time,”
"When will you stop poking your nose in?"
but she wonders when Mark will learn his lesson, reminding him that he poked his nose in when she was with Dewi, and what happened as a result of that.
"But Josh took the blame!"
Then Mark informs her that Josh took the blame;  he said he warned Mathew to keep away.   “And she forgave him – I would have been crucified!”   Debbie warns him that if Josh comes to the house again, to tell him where to go, as she does not want him near her house ever again.
Mathew is confused by what Vicky tells him
At the front of the Deri, Vicky tells Mathew that Josh is so sorry, and reckons he is losing his marbles.   She wants a bit of fun – nothing serious – and thought that he understood that.   “Can’t we carry on having fun?   There is a good gig in Swansea on Friday night.”
"Yes, let's go to Swansea"
Just as Mathew agrees that is a good idea,
"Do you want a shift on Friday night?"
Garry offers Vicky a shift on Friday night, as he knows she needs the money.   Mathew says that they can both work, and Vicky enquires if Dani is still thinking about a funeral
"There won't be a funeral"
“There won’t be a funeral,” Garry tells them and goes inside.   Mathew suggests that if they cannot go to the gig, the gig can come to them –
"We'll put up a tent in the garden!"
they will put up a tent in the Deri garden.
Dani finds the eulogy hard to write . . .
In the flat upstairs, Dani is composing some kind of eulogy;  “Although I didn’t like you at all, I still feel some sort of love.”
. . . and soon gives up
As Garry enters the room, she throws the paper away.
"I wanted to say something at the funeral"
She admits she wanted to say something at the funeral tomorrow, but Garry protests that she is stressed enough as it is,
"Look, Dani, your hands are shaking"
and can see that her hands are shaking.   “I feel so guilty about Gethin,” she laments, “He’s been so lovely to me and I hate going behind his back –
"I'm going to tell Gethin"
“I’m going to tell him – he deserves the choice.   You never know, he might want to be there.”
"Has Wil replied yet?"
Sheryl comes in and asks Hywel if there has been a reply to her e-mail;  “Darren should be up by now, to take Wil to school.   I’ve been thinking about that back bedroom, too – we’ll need a wardrobe and curtains.   We must make him feel at home.”
"It won't be easy for him in Cwmderi"
Hywel points out that it will not be easy for him, as news about Moc has been all over the papers, and his grandmother lives in the house where Moc was shot.
"Why are you putting a dampener on everything?"
She wants to know why he is putting a dampener on everything, and he explains he is not just worried about Moc, but also about her hair.
It transpires he is worried about her lack of hair
“He has not seen you without the wig, has he?   You can't hide it, with him under the same roof.”
"I want to show I'm still me, hair or not!"
“I want to give him a cwtch, to show I’m still me, hair or not!” she insists, “You have to be more positive, because when he comes, he’ll see huge changes in Cwmderi.   He and Meic were such mates, and I’m relying on you to fill that void.”
Vicky has to go and pick up her son
Josh and Vicky have enjoyed their meal at the Deri, and she has to go and pick up Nicky.
"Don't worry – it's a long story!"
“What is going on?  Why does she think you said those things, and not Mark?” Mathew demands, but Josh replies that it is a long story.
"Mathew and Vicky are friends again"
Mark and Debbie come in, and Josh informs them that Mathew and Vicky are friends again.
Josh invites them to his 75th birthday party
Then he reveals he is having a party next Wednesday as it is his 75th birthday, and they are both welcome to join him.
Debbie does not anticipate attending
Debbie’s curt response is, “Huh!”
Dani comes clean about the funeral
Dani goes over to Cysgod y Glyn to see Gethin;  “OK, I’m going to come straight out with it!” she says, “I have organised a funeral for Dad.   It’s not a big deal, and there won’t be any singing or anything.   It’s only Garry and me attending.”
"You planned this from the start, didn't you?"
Gethin asks why she is doing this, as she said he did not deserve a funeral;  “You planned this from the start, didn’t you?”
"I can't just do nothing!"
but she replies that she could not just do nothing.   She knows he is against it, and she does not want to hurt him.   She must have closure.
"I'm going to suffer for the rest of my life!"
He angrily replies, “And what about me, Dan?   When am I going to have closure?   I’m going to suffer for the rest of my life – because he died before he was punished!
"He has won!"
“He has won – and he’ll win again tomorrow, when you cry over his coffin!”
"If you hadn't locked him up at Penrhewl"
“And whose fault is that?” rages Dani, “If you hadn't locked him up at Penrhewl, none of this would have happened!”
"You're showing respect to a paedophile!"
Gethin furiously insists, “This is about you showing respect to a paedophile – have you forgotten what he did?   Have you?   You might as well stick a knife in my back!   If you hold a respectable funeral, you show that you care more about him than me!   How do think that makes me feel?”
"This is not all about you!"
Dani snarls, “For once, try to understand that it’s not all about you – it was my father too!”   He yells at her to get out,
"What's going on here?"
and Ffion wants to know what all the noise is about.
"You don't have to go to Llansteffan now"
Dani tells her she does not have to go to Llansteffan after all, as now Gethin knows the truth.   “I was hoping that he would respect my wishes, but no – he only cares about himself, obviously!” she comments,
Gethin realises that Ffion knew all about this
and leaves the flat.
Sitting in the Deri, Debbie demands who Josh thinks he is,
"What's this nonsense about Vicky?"
then Mathew comes over, and asks Mark what is all this nonsense about Vicky.
"It was a misunderstanding"
Mark replies that it is all a misunderstanding, but Mathew wants to know why Josh is being blamed for it.   Mark advises him to simply forget about it, but adds that he is being watched.
"Can we have an adoption party here?"
Hywel comes in and wants a word with Garry;  “We have the adoption hearing coming up, and Sheryl wants to organise a party, with Wil coming back from Canada, and I thought we could have the party here.”   Garry is all in favour of that.
"Is Sioned behaving herself?"
Then Hywel asks, “How are things with you?   Is Sioned behaving herself?”
"She's still stirring!"
Garry replies that she is still stirring, and turned up yesterday, expressing her condolences.   He tells Hywel to be grateful that his life is sorted.
Dani, looking distracted, comes in and immediately goes upstairs.
Mark thanks Josh for saving his skin
Mark thanks Josh for what he did for Mathew and Vicky, and is sorry for what he said about Josh being a stranger.   “You think the world of your family, that’s obvious,” Josh replies,
"They're lucky to have you"
“They’re lucky to have you.”
Gethin is angry with Ffion
At Cysgod y Glyn, Gethin demands, “Were you going to eat ice cream on the beach, or play happy families, while she’s making a show at the crem?”
"I was trying to protect you"
Ffion points out that there would not be anyone else there, and she was trying to protect him.   “I don’t agree with Dani, but she clearly needs to do this,” she tells him, but he is not placated.
"You're taking her side against me!"
“It’s not enough that he died before he was punished – Dani has to pay her respects to the low-life, instead of letting him rot – and you’re taking her side against me!”
"Tomorrow it will be all over"
She stresses that tomorrow it will be all over, and he can get on with his life, but he roars, “It will never be over from me – not now!
"I'm going to celebrate . . ."
“I’ll tell you one thing – you go to Llansteffan tomorrow if you want, but while he’s burning to a cinder, I’m going out to celebrate,
". . . and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"
“and there’s nothing you or anyone else can do to stop me!”
