9 June 2017

Gethin sits and thinks
Gethin sits in Cysgod y Glyn, thinking;
"I'll come with you to the hospital"
Ffion asks if he has heard from the hospital, and offers to go there with him, as Elinor will look after Arwen.
"Things are not good between Dani and me"
“The problem is, things are not too good between Dani and me,” Gethin replies, and she says that he should have shared this with her.
He wants to get to the hospital for when Moc wakes up;
"I want to tell him exactly what I think of him!"
“I want to be there to tell him exactly what I think of him, and just see his face the moment he realises that he has failed!”   Ffion appears stunned.
Dani is exhausted
Dani is sleeping on the sofa in the Deri flat;  “Why didn’t you wake me sooner?” she demands, when Garry rouses her.
"I have to get to the hospital!"
She is in a great hurry to get to the hospital, but Garry protests that she is going to make herself ill,
"You must think about the baby"
and that she should think about the baby.
She panics, as she cannot find her phone, and when she does,
Then the battery comes out of her phone
she drops it and the battery comes out;
It is all too much for her
Garry hugs her as she sobs.
Sheryl stares vacantly
In the café, Sheryl sits, gazing into space, and Debbie asks how she is.
"I thought we'd got rid of Moc!"
“I still can’t get my head around it,” she says, “I thought we’d got rid of Moc!”
"Well, he can't hurt anyone now"
Sheryl replies that he cannot hurt anybody now;
"I'd turn off the life support!"
“I’d make damn sure by switching those machines off and letting him die!” snarls Debbie, “Wouldn’t you, if you had the chance?”
Sheryl says that she refuses to let herself hate him, and that she will not let him define who she is.
Vicky now has a Romany symbol
Then Vicky comes in, showing off a Romany symbol, hanging round her neck;  she bought it from the Internet, but Debbie describes it as a waste of money.
"I've never been ashamed of being mixed race"
“I've never been ashamed of being mixed race,” Vicky tells her mother,
"You'll only get abuse"
but is advised to take it off before she gets abuse.   “No, because I’m proud that Josh is my grandfather, “Vicky says, and walks out.
"It has been much worse for you"
Garry offers to take Dani to the hospital, and Mathew can mind the bar;  she acknowledges that this has not been easy for Garry, but he points out it has been much worse for her.   He stresses that he only wanted to help,
"I need time to think"
but she replies. “I just need some time to think.”   She does not forgive him, but Garry consoles himself with the fact that she is talking to him.
"Gethin's determined to get revenge"
Dani worries, “I don’t know what’s worse – seeing Moc in the state he’s in, or Gethin so determined to get revenge.
"Well, are you surprised?"
Garry asks if she is surprised, after everything that happened to him.   “If he gets better and is sent to prison, will Gethin really be able to move on?” she demands,
"I don't want him to suffer any more"
“What sort of life will he have if he lives?   It’s so cruel to let someone recover enough to go to prison, while knowing they don’t have much time left anyway.   I don’t want him to suffer any more.”
"It would be better if he died?"
Garry enquires, “What you’re saying is, it would be better if he died?”
"It would end this nightmare"
and she agrees that it would better for him and for everyone else, to end this nightmare.
Vicky returns in a furious mood
Vicky storms into the Deri and asks Mathew for a drink;  Josh asks her what is wrong.  “Your daughter – she slagged this off,” Vicky replies, pointing to her Romany symbol.
"Don't worry about it, Vicky"
Josh assures her that it does not matter.
Dani leaves for the hospital, and Garry tells Hywel that Moc has had another operation.
Hywel is startled by the news
Hywel is concerned that Moc could survive, and hurries off to Sheryl.
Garry takes time to think
Garry stands and ponders.
Some misunderstanding about Esther being collected
When Hywel gets home, Sheryl demands where Esther is;  he replies that she was going to collect the child.
"Sorry, Hywel, I forgot!"
She is becoming confused, and before she goes to collect Esther, Hywel informs her that Moc has had another operation, and there is a chance he will recover.
She hears that Moc might recover
If he does, the police will press charges and it will go to court.   “Yes – and he’ll be sent to prison!   What’s the problem?” demands Sheryl.
"You will have to give evidence"
He explains, “The police will throw the book at him – and you will have to give evidence – the kidnapping, what he did to Gethin, Kelly, you and Wil.”
"I don't want Wil dragged into this!"
Sheryl is determined that she does not want Wil dragged into this.   “They will question him wherever he is,” Hywel warns her, “I want you to prepare yourself for the possibility that it is not all over.”
"Everyone is panicking at school"
Dani returns to the hospital waiting room, where she receives a hug from Ffion, who is surprised that Garry is not with her.   Ffion remarks that back at school it is exam time, and everyone is panicking.
"Not half as much as Moc will when he wakes up!"
“Not half as much as Moc will when he wakes up!” snarls Gethin.   Ffion persuades him to go and get something to eat;
"Let me know if he shows any signs"
he asks Dani to come and get him if Moc shows any signs of waking up.
Josh is doing some wheeling and dealing
In the Deri, Josh has managed to get from one of his contacts two tickets for the festival at Ty Mawr, and a yurt for the night;  “Especially for you, free of charge!” he tells Vicky,
"You can take your mother!"
“You can take your mother.”
"I can't see Debbie in wellies!"
Mark cannot see Debbie in wellies at a music festival, but Josh would love Vicky and her mother to go together.   She hurries off to tell Debbie.
"Can you work a double shift?"
Garry asks Mathew if he will do a double shift, and have a day off tomorrow;  Mathew agrees.
It is closing time at the café . . .
Debbie has just closed to the café when Vicky arrives, wanting to forget about earlier;
. . . and Vicky has an offer for her mother
“How would you like to come to a music festival with me this weekend?” she asks her mother.
"I'm a bit old for that"
Debbie considers that she is a bit too old for that, but is told it is not that sort of music festival.
"We're glamping in a yurt!"
“And don’t worry about sleeping in a tent, because we’re not camping – we're glamping in a yurt – and Mark knows all about it.   We’ll have a laugh!”   Debbie agrees.
"Josh bought the tickets"
Then Vicky adds, “I’m not taking this badge off, not after Josh bought the tickets!”   This instantly changes Debbie’s mind;
Debbie's demeanour completely changes
she vows that she will not take a penny from that man.
"Not if it was his idea!"
She refuses to go if Josh is behind the idea, so Vicky storms out of the café.
"Look at the mess in here!"
Sheryl frets that they have no pasta, and the shop is closed, also that the house is a mess;  “It’s strewn all over the floor!
"Why did you have to tell me about Moc?"
“Why did you have to tell me about Moc?”
"I thought it was better coming from me"
Hywel replies that he thought it was better if she heard it from him.
She is reduced to tears . . .
The thought of a court case reduces her to tears;  she sobs, “Hywel, I’ve been trying really hard, but everything is just . . .”
. . . and Hywel attempts to console her
He embraces her as she weeps.
"I'm never inviting her to anything again!"
Arriving back in the Deri, Vicky rages, “I’m never inviting her to anything again!”
"Well, how about taking him?"
Josh makes the suggestion that she goes with Mathew instead, and knows that he has a day off tomorrow.
"Yes, I'd love to go"
After initial reluctance, Mathew consents to go with her.
"Mathew's coming with me now!"
When Debbie walks in, Vicky tells her, “Mathew’s coming with me now – he’ll be go more of a laugh anyway!”
Debbie turns and retreats
so Debbie turns and walks out again.
Garry enters the hsopital room . . .
Garry enters the hospital room, and walk towards the inert figure;  he surveys the life support equipment,
. . . and shows interest in the power supply
and his gaze lights upon the 13amp sockets which power it.
"What are you doing?"
Suddenly a voice behind him demands, “What are you doing?”   Garry tells Gethin that he thought he saw Moc waking up,
"What are you doing here?"
but that is not how it looked to Gethin, who demands what he is doing there anyway.
Garry lies that he is looking for Dani.   As Gethin informs him that she is in the waiting room with Ffion and Gethin,
Moc grabs Gethin's arm
suddenly Moc’s eyes open and he grasps Gethin’s arm.   As alarms sound,
"You're going to prison!   Don't you dare die!"
Garry drags Gethin away.   Gethin shouts, “You’re still alive – do you hear?   And you’re going to prison!   Don’t you dare die!”
They watch the resuscitation attempts . . .
They watch from outside the door,
. . . of the medical staff
as the team of medics attempt to resuscitate Moc.
Esther seems rather disinterested
Sheryl is playing with Esther when Hywel announces that dinner is ready;
Hywel finds a letter aboput the adoption
he looks through the post and finds a letter, notifying them that the adoption process will be over in a couple of weeks.
"She'll belong to us, Hywel!"
“Finally, she’ll belong to us, Hywel!” enthuses Sheryl.
Moc has expired
The medical professionals have abandoned their resuscitation attempts,
Dani and Garry walk in
allowing Dani and Garry into the room.
"Rest in peace"
“Rest in peace,” says Dani;
She extends a hand to Garry
she extends her hand towards him, and Garry walks forward to take it.
"It's over!"
“It’s over!” she pronounces, while Gethin and Ffion watch from outside the door.
