23 June 2017

Garry should have put the milk straight in the fridge
Garry enters the flat with a bottle of milk;
Dani has trouble putting on her boots
then Dani hobbles in, complaining that her boots have shrunk.   Garry wants to accompany her,
"I'm a big girl now, Garry"
but she insists, “I’ll go on my own – all I have to do is pick it up.   It’s something I have to do – Im a big girl now, Garry – with feet the size of breeze blocks!”
Garry sends a text . . .
When she has gone, he looks at his phone.
Sioned is looking at herself in the mirror,
. . . which Sioned receives . . .
when she receives a text, which makes her smile;  Garry has asked if she is OK,
. . . and sends a reply
and she replies, “I want to see you.   Come over at lunchtime.”
Gwyneth's self-satisfied look again
At Y Felin, Gwyneth looks at the bottle of whisky,
Siôn is suffering severe pain . . .
as Siôn staggers in, holding his stomach.   She comments that he looks terrible, and asks if something has upset him;
. . . such that he has a job to stand up . . .
he replies that he needs some fresh air.
. . . but gets no sympathy from Gwyneth
“You always were the delicate one!” she comments.
Dani is back from her errand at the funeral director's
Dani returns, carrying a white container;  “I don’t know where to put it,” she says nervously, “Thanks for letting me bring him back here.   What should we do?”
Now she has trouble getting her boots off
He suggest taking her boots off for a start, then they can have a coffee.   She insists that she had to do it, for herself and for him,
"What will you tell Gethin?"
but she does not know whether she will tell Gethin.
Her idea of scattering the ashes locally . . .
Looking at the urn, she debates, “Do you think I should scatter his ashes in Cwmderi?”
. . . meets with Garry's disagreement
Garry points out that Moc made a lot of people in Cwmderi very unhappy,
"Take them somewhere where you were both happy"
adding that she should scatter them somewhere where she was happy, and where he was happy.
Siôn staggers into number 7 . . .
There is a frantic knocking on the door of number 7, and Siôn enters, doubled up with pain;
. . . and collapses on the sofa
“It’s my stomach,” he groans, “I had to leave Y Felin.”
Tyler phones for Iolo
Tyler phones Iolo, advising him that Siôn has pain on the right side of his stomach, he has a temperature and is sweating.
"Aberaeron?   Why there?"
“Aberaeron?   Why?” asks Garry, and Dani tells him that is where they reconnected as a father and daughter.   That was one of the happiest times, and she could scatter the ashes on the beach.
Dani has been caused to think
“All of this has made me think, after what happened at the hospital yesterday,” Dani muses, “The way parents feel about their children – that feeling never goes away.   That’s why you rushed over when you heard I was in the hospital – you were there for me and baby.
"There was nobody there for Sioned"
You were there – there was nobody there for Sioned.   She’s on her own – she hasn’t got anyone.”   Garry assures her that Sioned will be fine.
They manhandle Siôn to the van
Iolo arrives home to find Siôn still writhing in pain;  he decides that he will take his father to hospital in the van, and asks Tyler to ring Macs.   He helps his father out of the door.
"Is he going to be all right?"
Gwyneth is looking at the books on Siôn’s bookshelf, while Macs is speaking to Tyler on the phone;  “Is he going to be all right?”   Then he turns to Gwyneth;  “I said he was gone a long time – we should have gone to look for him.”
Gwyneth is typically light-hearted
She assumed that he has gone to the café, and was too lazy to walk home.
"He's on the way to hospital!"
“He’s on the way to hospital!” snarls Macs, as he rushes out of the door.   Gwyneth simply laughs,
She begins clearing the bookshelves
and begins removing the books from the shelf.
Dani hides the urn from view
Ffion and Gethin arrive unexpectedly at the Deri flat, so Dani positions herself in front of the urn.
Ffion prompts Gethin to begin
Ffion tells them, “We’ve been talking, and Gethin feels . . .”
"I should never have done what I did"
He announces rather sheepishly that he wants to apologise;  he should never have done what he did, or said the things he said.
Ffion interrupts to say that Gethin feels Moc is still coming between them, even though he is no longer here,
"I don't want him coming between us"
and Gethin continues, “I’m sorry, Dan – I dont want things to be like this.   Moc’s spoiled a huge part of my life as it is, I don’t want him coming between us.”
"You must let it go, Geth!"
She urges him to let go, but he protests he cannot do it without her.   Ffion pleads that he is truly sorry,
Dani turns to pick up the urn
so Danny turns to pick up the urn and announces, “I went to get him this morning – I want to scatter the ashes far away from Cwmderi.
"I think it will help everyone"
You and Ffion are welcome to be there, but I’ll understand if you don’t want to come.   I do think that it will help everyone.”
Gethin is aghast at what he sees
Gethin looks furious as he accuses Dani of not understanding, of having no idea.
"I came over to say sorry"
“I came over to say sorry, to apologise – and what do you do?   Rub my nose in the mess he’s made!”
Moc's final restingplace – on the floor of the Deri flat?
He lunges forward, grabs the urn of ashes, and flings it to the floor.
Siôn awaits test results
In the hospital, Iolo assures his father that they are waiting for the test results, and that it was lucky that Tyler was at home.
Macs arrives at the hospital
Macs arrives,
Siôn is scared that she is with him
and Siôn is anxious that Macs is alone.   When he enquires what happened,
"You ask Gwyneth what happened!"
Siôn advises him to ask Gwyneth,
Macs is worried about the Huw hoax
but he insists that it is nothing to do with her, adding, “You haven’t said anything about that business with Huw, have you?”
Iolo brings a glass of water
Iolo returns with a glass of water.
Dani is in a terrible state . . .
Dani is panicking, so Garry advises her to go out for a walk while he clears up;
. . . so Garry sends her to have a lie-down
Or go for a lie-down – the last thing you need is more stress.   I’ll close the door, so you can have some peace.”
He looks at the vacuum cleaner
Then he gets out the vacuum cleaner.
Gethin hurriedly packs a bag . . .
At Cysgod y Glyn, Gethin is packing a bag;
. . . but is caught by Ffion
Ffion demands where he is going.
The note makes her think he is going to do something stupid
She reads the note which he has left for her;  “You’re all better off without me.   He insists that he is just going away – anywhere away from here, and what his father did.
"He's not here – and he never will be again!"
“He’s not here – and he never will be again!” replies Ffion, “We’re here – you, me and Arwen –
"Please don't punish us, Geth!"
please don’t punish us for what he did!”   He says that he is doing this for them, but she shouts, “You’re not allowed to use us as an excuse!
"Don't go, Geth!"
Don’t go, Geth!”
Sioned does not like being 'stood up'
Sioned waits impatiently for her visitor;
She sends a text to Garry
she kicks off her shoes and texts Garry,
"Where are you?"
asking where he is, then settles down
Then starts on a large economy size bag of crisps
with a large packet of crisps.
Moc's mortal remains are removed from the floor . . .
Garry has almost finished vacuuming up Moc’s remains;
. . . and after Garry looks around . . .
he looks around, then selects the biscuit tin, emptying out any remaining crumbs,
. . . deposited in the biscuit tin
and deposits the contents of the vacuum cleaner into it.
Tyler meets the infamous Macs
By now, Siôn is feeling slightly better, and Tyler advises him to go with Macs,
"I'm not going back to Y Felin!"
but he is adamant, “I’m not going back to Y Felin!   I’m stressed there.”   He is invited to stay with Iolo and Tyler.
"I'll go and get you some clothes"
Macs will go and get him some clothes.
"I want to stay away from her – and Macs!"
Siôn explains to Iolo, “Gwyneth wants me out of Y Felin, and I want to stay as far away as possible from her – and Macs!”
Dani returns rather hesitantly to the flat kitchen;
"Biscuit tin?   Nice, Gar!"
she comments, “Biscuit tin?   Nice, Gar!” and he points out that was the best thing available.
"You shouldn't be worrying about other people"
She wonders if Gethin will ever understand, and he considers that Ffion will sort him out, pointing out that she should not be worrying about other people, as all that matters is her and the baby.
"I fancy a jam doughnut!"
“Do you know what I fancy?” she asks, “A jam doughnut.   I bought some for Sioned and me yesterday, and I’ve had real cravings ever since.”
Dani gazes at the biscuit tin
He goes off to get her one, while she looks at the biscuit tin and sighs.
Gwyneth is in book-removal mode
Gwyneth is tossing Siôn’s books into a box when Macs returns and advises her that Siôn is staying with Iolo.
"Did you spike his food?"
He demands what she did;  “Did you spike his food?”
She immediately denies it
She denies this, and tells him, “If you’ve got anything to say, Macs, say it!”   He goes upstairs without another word,
The infernal smile of the evil Gwyneth
and predictably, Gwyneth smiles broadly.
Second course – Tunnock's Tea Cakes
Sioned is stuffing herself with Tunnock’s Tea Cakes, and assumes it is her mother when she hears someone on the stairs.
"You're late – I said lunchtime!"
It is in fact Garry;  “Lunchtime, I said – you’re late!” she scolds him, “I’m expecting Mam at any minute.”
He warns her off Dani
He explains that he only called because Dani is worried about her, and that Dani does not need any more friends.
"We shall be seeing a lot of each other"
She replies, “Like it or not, your children will both be the same age – they’ll go to the same nursery, the same parties, so Dani and I are going to see a lot of each other.   You’ll have to face the facts sooner or later.”
She reassures him that she and the baby are all right
Garry confesses that he had a scare yesterday, but she assures him that she and baby are OK.   She gives him Dani’s scan photos which she left yesterday.
"Look after yourself"
“Look after yourself,” he says, and leaves.
