"It's very quiet at Awyr Iach"
Jason and Sara come out of the shop, talking about how quiet it is at Awyr Iach, but Sara is looking forward to getting the school orders before long.
"DJ was always on the go at that age"
Linda comes to look at the baby and recalls how DJ was like one of those battery-powered rabbits;
"He's changed a bit since then!"
Jason comments that he has changed since then.
A motorcycle stops to let them cross the road
As Jason and Sara cross the road,
Jason sees it is Gwyneth
a motorcyclist raises her visor and they see it is Gwyneth.   She, and her pillion passenger ride off.
"Wasn't that Gwyneth?   Who was with her?"
Sioned also sees, and asks, “Wasn’t that Gwyneth?   And who was with her?”   Jason is unsure whether it was a man or woman;  “You never know with Gwyneth!” remarks Sioned.   Sara just hopes that she does not want her house back.
They are very short of work at Awyr Iach
Things are quiet in Awyr Iach, with Linda making tea, and Kath asking if there are any biscuits.
There is an order which needs to be packed
DJ want them to pack the Afallon order now, as they want it delivered today.
Linda asks if there is a wordsearch in that magazine,
Linda spills the tea
then stumbles and spills tea all over it;  she is very apologetic.
A surprise visitor for Siôn
Siôn doing a spot of gardening at Y Felin, when Gwyneth walks up the path and takes off her helmet.   He demands what she wants;
"You're not welcome, so go away!"
“You’re not a friend, and you’re not welcome, so go away!” he tells her.
She shouts to her friend that they are not welcome, and after they have come specifically to see Siôn.
"Hello, Dad!"
The stranger takes off his helmet;  “Hello, Dad!” says Macs,
Siôn is lost for words
and Siôn is speechless.
In the Deri, Jason offers his condolences to Garry, who says that Dani is remarkably well, to be honest.
Two lasagnes please – Mam is on her way"
Jason orders two lasagnes, then Sioned comes in, wanting to speak to Dani.
Sioned imparts the news
“I’ve got news for her – you too – Gwyneth is back!
"Isn't that right, Jason?"
If you don’t believe me, ask Jason.   You see – I thought you would like to be warned.”
He says he could not care less . . . but
Garry maintains that he could not care less, but does look rather concerned.
"I can do what I like in my own home"
Gwyneth marches into Y Felin, followed by Macs, and when Siôn objects, she says that you can do what she likes in her own home.
"Macs wants to buy your half"
“I forgot  to say – Macs and I are moving in!”   Siôn does not agree with this, but Macs insists that they love each other and need somewhere to live, and Gwyneth reminds him that her name is on the deeds.   “Macs wants to buy your half!” she informs him, but he is adamant that Y Felin is not for sale.
Gwyneth will go and see Gwern
Then she decides she is going to see Gwern,
Staged especially for Siôn's benefit
and kisses Macs very theatrically, for Siôn’s benefit.   Macs turns on the television, and Siôn turns it off again;
"It's nice to see you"
“It’s nice to see you,” he says.
"Not going to kick me out this time?"
“So this time you’re not going to kick me out of Cwmderi, as if I were a piece of dirt?” Macs enquires.
Siôn acknowledges that things went too far, but he did it for Macs’ sake;  he is always welcome here, and this is his home.   “But not like this – and not with her!”
"I'm back for revenge!"
Macs smiles;  “You don’t understand, do you, Dad?   I’m back for revenge – I’ve waited years for this – and believe me, I’m going to enjoy every minute!”
Siôn does not look entirely happy
He goes upstairs, and Siôn has a look of consternation.
"Something beginning with 'T'!"
At Awyr Iach, Kath and Linda are drinking tea and playing I Spy;
"Tuna!"
Diane arrives and can see they are having fun.
"You might as well go home, then"
Jason asks if they have no work to do, and when told they do not, sends them home.
"Whatever you do, don't tell Dai!"
Diane suggests that they could go out together, and she will pay, on condition that they do not tell Dai.
"She needs something to make her laugh"
When Linda has gone to the toilet, Diane commends Kath for making Linda laugh, as she certainly needs something.
Sioned interrupts her conversation with Geraint
Sioned meets Gwyneth by the café, and immediately asks if she has come back to check on Gwern,
She quickly manages to get Gwyneth's back up
as someone phoned social services couple of weeks ago.
"And now that Dani is pregnant . . ."
“And now that Dani is pregnant, people are concerned about Gwern.”
Gwyneth marches purposefully towards the Deri
As intended, Gwyneth heads towards the Deri.
"I've come to see my son"
She marches into the flat upstairs, telling Garry that she wants to see her son.
But he is sent to his bedroom
Garry sends Gwern to his room, so that Mam and Dad can have a chat.   He tells Gwyneth that she has no right to come barging in here, and when she again says she wants to see her son,
"You should have thought about that before disappearing"
he replies, “You should have thought about that before disappearing for months!”
"You've been filling his mind with lies!"
She accuses him of filling Gwern’s mind with lies;  “I wouldn’t do that,” Garry assures her,
"You're the one playing mind games"
“You’re the one playing mind games.   You promised to keep in touch – but didn’t!   What to do you want, Gwyneth?”
"What did social services want?"
She asks what social services wanted a couple of weeks ago, and he replies that he does not know what she is talking about,
He invents a disgruntled garage customer
then explains, “A customer at the garage was after revenge for failing his MOT.   What is it to you, anyway?
"If you thought anything of him, you wouldn't have gone!"
If you thought anything of Gwern, you wouldn’t have disappeared!”
She insists that she loves Gwern, and only left because her head was all over the place.  “The question is, how much will you love Gwern when the baby arrives?
He knows exactly which little bird
A little bird told me.”   Garry answers that he loves all his children the same.
"Go and fetch him now!"
She demands that he fetch Gwern from his bedroom, but he refuses.
Garry has got rid of her, for now
“You can see him when I say – I’ll let you know.   Just go away!” he tells her.
Cream cakes for afternoon tea
In a restaurant, the waiter brings afternoon tea,
"Is there anything stronger than tea?"
and Kath wonders if they are having anything stronger than tea.   Linda goes to fetch some champagne.
"She's not supposed to drink alcohol"
Diane tells Kath that she is not supposed to drink alcohol with those tablets – that is why they are having afternoon tea.   “Otherwise we would be in the Deri, downing gins, but one bottle won’t hurt, I suppose,” she adds.
Kath asks how long Linda has, and is told that it is only months;
"She had a wobble at Awyr Iach earlier"
Kath relates that she had a wobble at Awyr Iach earlier, quite a bad one,
"We all have wobbles at out age!"
and Diane muses, “We all have wobbles at our age!”
"She's brainwashed you!"
“She’s brainwashed you!” Siôn tells Macs, “She saw how vulnerable you were, and took advantage of you.   Dont believe everything Gwyneth has said about me!”
Macs lists his father's accomplishments
Macs demands, “Do you denied stealing from Bethania?   Or hiding a gun in the chapel?   Or trying to live incognito in the Rhondda?   You’re off your head!   And why did you abuse your children, Dad?”
"I've never done such a thing!"
Siôn protests that he has never done such a thing.
Macs summarises what he did to his sons
“You turned your back on me, when I was falling to pieces,” snarls Macs, “You bullied Iolo until he cracked up with OCD, you preached at Huw until he ran off with a cult of nutters!   You did a good job, Dad!”
Siôn pleads that Huw has come to his senses now,
"Everything you do is for Siôn White – no-one else"
but Macs points out that he does not want to know his father;  “He knows, like Iolo and I do, that everything you do is for Siôn White – no-one else.
"You deserve everything you get!"
You deserve everything you get!”
In the restaurant, Linda hands a plate to the waiter and drops it;
"It would be nice to have a man's company again"
embarrassed, she suggests that it would be nice to have a man’s company again.   Diane maintains it would be nice to have one a bit less grumpy,
"Dai is a lovely bloke!"
but Kath says she is lucky to have him, and that he is a lovely bloke.   “It makes things easier when you have someone to share things with.
"Have your eye on someone, then?"
Diane asks if she has her eye on anyone, and then, as they argue,
Linda has dropped off . . .
they notice that Linda has fallen asleep, and consider it is time to go home, as they do not want her to get tired.
. . . and Kath says she has to get Ricky's dinner
Kath says that she will have to go home, as Ricky he will be waiting for his dinner, and Diane assures Linda that DJ will be worrying about her.
"We'll have to do it again"
Linda tells them that she has enjoyed herself, and they will have to do it again.
"Thanks for the information, Sioned"
In the Deri, Gwyneth thanks Sioned for the information, and lies that Gwern was so happy to see his mother, but Dani was not there.   “I’d better go or my new boyfriend will be worried about me,” she says,
"You know him very well, from what I remember"
“Come and say hello – he’d love to see you again!   You know him very well, from what I remember – we can compare notes!”   Sioned is confused, so Gwyneth enlightens her,
"It's Macs!"
“It’s Macs – we’re living in Y Felin.”   She leaves, smiling at
Sioned looks as though she has seen a ghost
the horrified look on Sioned’s face.
It is not clear what the nappies are doing at Bryntirion
DJ arrives home at Bryntirion, to find no-one there, except Jason, who has come to collect some nappies.
"They've gone out somewhere"
He advises DJ that his mother went out somewhere with Diane and Kath, but DJ says she should be resting.
They are back from their afternoon tea . . .
At that moment they return, and DJ demands when they have been;  they tell him they have been having tea in a restaurant.   Jason guesses that I have also had something stronger, which concerns DJ.
. . . which has tired Linda, so she goes for a lie-down
Linda goes upstairs for a lie-down, telling DJ that she is just tired.
DJ accuses Diane
Then he moans at Diane, who points out she only had one glass,
"She should enjoy herself while she can"
and that it is important to enjoy herself while she can.   “She’ll have even less time left if you keep dragging her out like this – you should be ashamed of yourself!” grumbles DJ.
Macs comments that a chain will not keep Gwyneth out
Siôn is fitting a chain on the front door of Y Felin;
She returns, looking very pleased with herself . . .
Gwyneth comes in and
. . . and is commandeering Siôn's bedroom
Siôn snarls at her, “You won’t get the better of me!”   Macs announces that he has taken their bags to the master bedroom;  “But that’s my bedroom,” objects Siôn.
Gwyneth correct him, “No, it’s our room from now on!”
He slams the door and is furious
Siôn is understandably furious.
