6 June 2017 (1st)

The police investigation continues
After the traumatic events, police officers are positioned either side of the front door of number 10, as a forensic officer emerges and loads something into a van.   Tyler approaches the Deri and finds a “closed” notice on the door;
Tyler finds the Deri closed . . .
he looks along the street
. . . and surveys the scene
at the police activity.
Hywel washes Sheryl's clothes
Next door to the Deri, Hywel puts the bloodstained clothes which Sheryl was wearing into the washing machine, and adds detergent;  he looks devastated.
"I'm so grateful to you"
At number 7, Anita turns off the music which is playing;  she is grateful to Iolo and Tyler for allowing her to stay there, and they say they are happy to help.
"The police are still at number 10"
Tyler reports that the police are still inside number 10 in their white suits.
"Where is that doctor?"
At the hospital, Garry is becoming impatient;
Dani has been reliving that moment
“I’ve been playing it over and over in my mind,” Dani tells him, “Moc, with the gun pointed at Gethin, and then me on top of him – not knowing what I was doing.   If I hadn’t, he might really have . . .”
"Everyone came out uninjured"
Garry points out that everyone came out of that house without injuries,
"No, not everyone, Garry"
but Dani, still covered in blood, reminds him that not everyone did.   “Everyone that matters!” Garry comments.
Gethin joins them
Gethin, also spattered with blood, joins them, and is told that the doctor will be speaking to them shortly.
"He is still in a critical condition"
Then the doctor comes in, and advises that they have managed to stop most of the internal bleeding, but the patient is still in a critical condition.
They hear that he is in a coma
“In order to control the pain and the general shock, we’ve put him in a coma.”   Gethin seems disappointed that he is still alive.
Moc lies motionless . . .
At his bedside, a nurse checks on Moc, then leaves the room,
. . . guarded by a police officer
passing the police officer who is seated outside.
Anita meets Sheryl . . .
Anita meets Sheryl by the shop;  “I’m cooking a meal for Iolo and Tyler, as they have been so good to us, and Kelly is in such a state.”
. . . who is eager to get back to work at the salon
Sheryl replies that she is in a hurry to get home, and that she is going back to work tomorrow, as there is no point in being idle at home.
Sheryl is not as calm as she pretends to be
Hywel has taken Sheryl’s things out of the washing machine when she arrives home;  she is feeling very uneasy,
"I don't know what I'd do without you!"
and protests when he hugs her.   He has been imagining what it would be like without her,
"Let's go for a walk"
but she proposes going for a walk in the park.
She disposes of her clothes
She takes the washing and stuffs it into a black rubbish sack.
Kelly comes downstairs
At number 7, Kelly comes downstairs, wrapped in her dressing gown, and with injuries to her face;
"I said she should have gone to hospital"
Anita regrets that she did not insist that the paramedics took Kelly to the hospital, but Kelly is adamant she does not want painkillers,
Kelly escapes from Anita's grasp
pushes Anita away, runs upstairs and vomits in the bathroom.
Moc's prognosis is not good
When the doctor returns, Dani asks if Moc is going to die, and is told that it is quite likely, as his injuries are so serious.   “The intestine is torn, and many organs were hit, including the liver,” she tells them,
"You should prepare for the worst"
“If his condition stabilises, another operation may be possible – but I’d advise you to prepare for the worst.   However, there’s no reason you shouldn’t visit your father.”
Gethin is not keen . . .
Gethin is reluctant to do so, but Dani is determined to see him;
. . . but accompanies Dani
they look through the glass, then go in.   Gethin says, “I’m just making the most of the moment,”
"It's over for you!"
then bends over his father and snarls, “One way or another, it’s over for you!”
Iolo seems to have gone very shy
Iolo is very reluctant to do his washing;  “I don’t want Anita to see my pants,” he confides to Tyler, who warns him to ‘chill’, as their visitors could be at the house for days.
"It was the onions that turned my stomach . . ."
Then Kelly comes downstairs, saying that she is fine, and that the smell of onions had turned her stomach.
". . . but don't tell Anita"
She does not want Anita to know, as she is worried enough already.   When Iolo assures her that they are there for her,
"Really, I'm fine"
she once more maintains that she is fine.
"You ought to eat something, Kelly"
Anita advises that dinner is ready, and points out that Kelly has not eaten all day.   Kelly admits to Iolo that she looks like death warmed up,
"Yes, you do look like death warmed up"
an evaluation with which he agrees.
"If we'd contacted the police straightaway"
In the Deri, Dani wishes they had contacted the police straightaway they discovered Moc was back – then he would have been arrested, and none of this would have happened.   “But no – you had to try and sort out matters yourself – and just made things worse!   He only came back to ask for help.   Your consciences may be clear, but mine isn’t!”
"If we all stick to the story . . ."
Garry argues that they made mistakes, but everyone is OK, and if they stick to the story, and the police do not ask any more questions, it will be all right.
Dani loses her temper
“You don’t understand, do you?” demands Dani, “It’s our fault that Anita and the rest have been though hell!   My father is lying in a coma – and it’s all down to me!”   She walks out of the pub, while Garry and Gethin look concerned about what she might do.
Sheryl is very grateful to Dani
Sheryl sees Dani outside and thanks her for saving their lives;
"I didn't do anything"
she does not know what might have happened if Dani had not done what she did.   Sheryl reports that Anita is trying to keep busy, but Kelly is in a bad way.   “I’ll never forget what you did!” exclaims Sheryl
Sheryl hugs her
and throws her arms around Dani.
"Moc means nothing to me!"
Once inside their house, Sheryl tells Hywel that Moc means nothing to her, and that she is not upset.   “Do you expect me to fall apart?” she asks him, “I’m dealing with this in my own way!
"I thought I was going to die!"
“I was there, believing that I was going to die – I’m not brushing anything under the carpet.”
Dani visits number 7
Dani calls at number 7 while they are having dinner;  “I’m so sorry!   It was all my fault!” she tells them,
"We all owe our lives to you"
but Anita replies that they all owe their lives to her.
"We all know whose fault it was!"
Then Kelly interrupts;  “We all know whose fault it was!   I allowed him to manipulate me – I would do anything for him.”   Anita explains that taking advantage of people is what Moc does, but Kelly screams, “It was my fault!   I’m so sorry!”
Kelly has disappeared upstairs again
She hurries upstairs, followed by Anita.
"He doesn't deserve to get through this!"
Tyler comments that Moc does not deserve to get through this, after all he has put everyone through.   Dani says that it is time she left.
"I hope she hasn't said anything"
In the Deri, Gethin is hoping that Dani has not said anything about knowing Moc was around, and worries that the police will find out;  Garry is confident they will not.
"It's important to stick to the story"
When Dani returns, Gethin asks if she has told anyone about Garry and him.   “I hope you realise how important it is that we stick to our story,” he goes on.
"Is that all you care about?"
Dani wants to know, “Is that all you care about?   I’ve just been to see Anita – Kelly is in bits because of us!”   Garry is insistent that it is because of Moc, not them,
"He's where he deserves to be!"
and Gethin maintains that the person responsible is exactly where he deserves to be – dying in hospital.”   He explains that when he said that he forgave Moc, he was simply trying to save them.
"I had almost persuaded him"
Dani is adamant that she was starting to persuade Moc to give himself up when Gethin barged in.
"Stop fooling yourself, Dani!"
“Stop fooling yourself, Dani!” shouts Gethin, “He would have killed someone – maybe everyone!   If you hadn’t done what you did, he would have killed me!   You did the right thing – he doesn’t deserve to live.”
Then in desperation he looks at Garry;  “You try to talk some sense into her – I give up!” he says as he walks out of the Deri.
"Kelly's locked herself in the toilet"
Anita is anxious as Kelly has now locked herself in the toilet;
"Her Bulimia may have come back"
Iolo informs her that Kelly threw up earlier, and Anita fears that her Bulimia may have come back.   She asks Iolo and Tyler to keep an eye on Kelly.
"I want to help you get through this"
Garry assures Dani that he wants to help her get through this, but she must not shut him out, as that will not help anyone.
"You were prepared to kill my father"
“Garry, you were prepared to kill my father – do you expect me to forget that?” she demands.
"I was protecting you and the baby!"
He insists that he was trying to protect her and the baby.   “The baby is all that matters to you,” she asserts, “Someone had to sort out the mess that you and Gethin had created!
"I don't want you near me, Garry!"
“I don’t want you near that hospital – and I don’t want you near me either!”
