"I'm more nervous than Chester"
Colin makes some toast, but Britt does not want any;  “No thanks, love – I’m more nervous than Chester.   Colin recalls that he has five O-levels, and two grade one CSEs, which counted as an O-level.   Britt remembers some children coming out of the Headmasters office crying, others were doing cartwheels.
"Do I look like the type who can do cartwheels?"
When Colin asks which she did, she replies, “Do I look the type who can do cartwheels?”
Chester is worried about Hannah
Chester appears to be rather disinterested with the whole idea;  he is concerned that he has sent loads of texts to Hannah, but she is ignoring him.   “She was due to arrive yesterday – what if she’s stayed in Australia?”
"Kangaroos on the runway"
Colin suggests that perhaps the flight was cancelled, by kangaroos on the runway.   Chester decides that if she is not coming back, he is not going to school.
Britt intends to go with him to school, so they can discuss his A-level subjects;
"You've failed them all, anyway!"
Catrin comments that he will have failed all the exams anyway.   “Shut up, Emo!   Go and hang out with the other weirdos!” Chester tells her.
"You're not coming with me!"
He then informs his mother, in no uncertain terms, that he is going to school and she is not coming with him.
Gaynor visits Tyler
Gaynor visits number seven, where Ffion is chatting with Tyler, who reports that the baby is responding well to treatment.
"Your pupils' results have been disappointing"
Gaynor has come to point out that, although the school GCSE results are good, those of his pupils have been disappointing.   She assures him that they can have a chat later and leaves.
"Gaynor is exaggerating"
Ffion thinks that Gaynor is making things sound worse than they are,
"Just what I need!"
but Tyler despairs, “That’s just what I need!”
Hannah's mother does not know where she is, either
At Bryntirion, Linda is feeling better and is sitting on the sofa;  Diane is on the phone to Emma in Australia, but she has not heard anything from Hannah.   Diane wonders if she should phone the police,
"Probably a delay somewhere"
but Linda says that it may be only a delay on a connection.   Diane will check the flight tracker, and if she has not heard by the end of the day, then that she will phone them.
Linda decides that now she is in less pain she will do something useful, like knitting something for DJ,
"I'm not going anywhere until I finish this"
and she does not intend going anywhere until she finishes it.   “He’s been a huge support to me,” she says.
Diane remarks that being an only child can be difficult sometimes, as there is no one to share your worries with.
It's easy for DJ to feel under pressure"
“I’ve tried to get him to talk – it’s easy for him to feel under pressure to do something he doesn’t quite agree with, if you know what I mean,” she goes on.
"I haven't asked him to do anything"
Linda studies her knitting pattern, and answers that she has not asked DJ to do anything.
"I'd better get ready for school"
Tyler decides he should go and smarten himself up for school;
Suddenly, Live comes in through the back door
Ffion is about to do the washing-up when the back door opens and Liv walks in.   Ffion calls for Tyler, who explains that this is his sister,
"I'll tell Gaynor you're going to be late"
so she goes to school, and will tell Gaynor that Tyler will be late.
"Is the baby here?"
All that Liv wants to do is see her baby, but he explains she is still in hospital;  “She was addicted to drugs – but she is going to be fine.
"I didn't hear from you for over a year"
I didnt hear from you for over a year, and then you dump a baby on my doorstep.”   She explains that she could not cope, and did what was best for the baby, but now she knows she did the wrong thing.
"I didn't have anyone else, Ty"
She did not have anyone else and says she is sorry.
"I shall have to phone the airport"
Diane has still not managed to get any information from the flight tracker and will have to phone the airport.
"G'day!"
Then the door bursts open, an Australian accent says, “G’day!”
"Can I borrow £20 for the taxi?"
and Hannah asks if she can borrow £20 to pay for the taxi.   Diane is overjoyed to see her,
"There won't be much peace now!"
and Linda predicts that there will not be much peace now.
Hannah explains that she missed the connection in Hong Kong and had to wait 12 hours for another flight.   Diane embraces her and suggests they go to the Deri for lunch,
"I have to see Chester first"
but Hannah insists that first she is going to see Chester.
"They don't know how much we worry about them"
“They don’t have any idea about how much we worry about them, do they?” Diane comments to Linda, “But perhaps we expect too much from them.”
"How did you get yourself in this state?"
“How did you get yourself into this state?” Tyler demands, and she replies that every day is tough;  people do not realise that.   “How did you give birth to such a lovely baby?” he adds, and she wants to see the baby, insisting that she is her daughter.
"So why am I looking after her?"
He wants to know, “So why am I looking after her?   That’s her mother’s job.”
"If I see her, it will help me cope"
She begs him to take her to the hospital, as it will help her to cope, but wants Tyler to say she is the baby’s auntie
"I like your new look!"
Hannah arrives at the chip shop flat and Britt is sure that Chester will be excited.   When she sees Catrin, Hannah says she likes her new look,
Catrin make a hasty exit
but she gets up and flounces off to her room.   Britt points out that it is impossible to have a sensible conversation with her, especially with Chester always making fun of her.
"Why does he give her a rough time?"
“Why do people give anyone looking different a rough time?” Hannah groans.
"Cwmderi's shock jock!"
On the radio, we suddenly hear, “Good morning – it’s Colin Evans again – Cwmderi’s Shock Jock!   Today’s a big day – GCSE results day.”
"Chester's gone to school"
Britt informs Hannah that Chester has gone to school to get his results, and she is expecting a phone call at any moment.
Hannah is busy texting
Hannah begins typing a text.
Guests in the CwmFM studio
Colin has guests in the studio, Mabli Stevens, Marged Owen, and, surprisingly, Chester Monk – which causes some astonishment to Britt.   “Between you and me, the headteacher of Ysgol y Mynach is grinning like a Cheshire cat,” Colin announces.
Chester is preoccupied . . .
Chester is paying no attention to the proceedings in the studio, as he has just received a text from Hannah,
. . . with this disturbing text
which reads, “Staying in Australia.   Sorry.”
He looks devastated as the two girls relate their pleasing results, and when Colin asks him about his grades,
"I don't want to go back to school"
he replies, “I passed them all, Bs and then C in design technology, but I don’t want to go back!”   He looks heartbroken.
Liv is posing as Dani
At the hospital, Tyler introduces Liv as his sister Dani;
Tyler holds the baby
he invites her to hold the baby, but she is very hesitant.
"I'm so sorry"
“I’m so sorry,” she says, and asks if they have given her a name,
"It's up to you to choose a name"
but he tells that it is for her to do, and that he and Iolo will give her a home until Liv sorts herself out.
"I don't think I can do this!"
Liv doubts that she can do this;  she hands the baby back, and on her way out, shouts, “Just leave me alone – don’t tell anyone that you’ve seen me!”
Liv flees from the hospital
She runs off down the corridor.
Colin photographs his guests . . .
Colin deploys his camera to photograph the guests from studio;
. . . Mabli, Marged, Gaynor, Ffion and Chester
Chester looks extremely annoyed,
Chester replies to the text
and as soon as possible adjourns to send a text.
"The baby's mother turned up this morning"
Ffion apologises for failing to mention that Tyler’s sister arrived this morning – the baby’s mother – and she is in a bit of a state.   “I feel for him – school is the last thing on his mind.
Hannah is winding Chester up
Chester is concentrating on his text as Hannah approaches, grinning broadly;
He embraces her ecstatically
he suddenly sees her, and flings his arms around her.
"Don't ever queue for a burger at Hong Kong airport!"
“Don’t ever queue for a burger at Hong Kong airport!” she warns him.
"I really thought you weren't coming back"
He was really convinced that she was not coming back, and he hugs her tightly.
Colin witnesses the reunion
Colin sees this touching reunion and smiles.
"There's a crowd going to the beach"
When they get back to the flat, Chester says, “There’s a crowd going to the beach to celebrate – not that it is boring, because you’re here now.”
Catrin appears briefly, and scowls at them
Catrin comes into the kitchen to get a drink, and Chester asks, “Have you got anything to say?”   She replies in the negative and returns to her room.
"Yeah, I'm worried too – she's weird!"
Hannah tells him that his mother is worried about her;  “Yeah, so am I – she’s weird!” he replies.
"I went through a stage like that"
She points out that she went through a stage like that, and his response is, “You haven’t changed much!”   She remembers that she was really moody for a while, and constantly argued with her mother;  she recommends that the best thing is to leave Catrin alone.
"We are going to see your mother . . ."
Before they go to meet their friends, Hannah insists that they will go to see his mother;  “She was gutted you didn’t tell her the results first, before going on the radio.   She wants to congratulate her son – so come on – we are going to see her
". . . or I'm going back to Australia!"
– or I’m going back to Australia!”
"Elgan must have been called out"
At the Deri, Gaynor is disappointed that Elgan is not there, as he must have been called out;
"Oh – it's serious, then"
she tells Ffion that they are going away over the weekend in his new car.   When Chester and Hannah walk in,
Britt embarrasses Chester
Britt welcomes the chance to congratulate him at last, but he urges her not to embarrass him.
"We're going to the beach"
“Don’t make a fuss – we are going to the beach,” Chester tells his mother, but she thinks he ought to go and discuss A-levels with Gaynor.    “No – I'm going backpacking with Hannah!” he says as he leaves.
Hannah reassures Britt
Britt looks worried, but Hannah reassures her, “He’s winding you up.  I will make sure he goes to the sixth form.”
Tyler has a piece of paper
Tyler is looking at a piece of paper when there is a knock at the door;
"Here's a copy of the school results"
it is Gaynor, bringing him a copy of the school results.   He argues that there is nothing he can do about them now, but she assures him of her support.
"I have faith in you"
“I have faith in you, and I hope you don’t disappoint me,” she says, “Ffion said that your sister turned up here – I understand you have to put her first today.”
"I shpould have told Ffion to keep quiet"
Tyler replies that he should have told Ffion not to tell anyone, as the authorities do not know she is here.   Gaynor warns that he could be in trouble if he does not tell them;
"You don't want your new school getting a bad name"
“You don’t want one of your teachers at the centre of a scandal, giving the new school a bad name,” he tells her.
"The best way to help your sister is to be honest"
She emphasises that she is here as a friend, not a head:  “The best way to help your sister, and that little girl, is to be honest with the authorities.”   He points out that he and Iolo are going to look after the baby until Liv is better.   “Things would be so much easier if you had the support of social services,” advises Gaynor,
He fears what they might do to Liv
but Tyler is concerned that they will not let her see the baby, and might throw her in jail.
Gaynor continues, “That is up to her, and whether she is willing to change.   Maybe your job is to help her to change, otherwise you could be responsible for that little baby for ever.”   When she has gone, Tyler looks again at the piece of paper, and then throws it away –
The social worker's card
we see that it is the card of Gwennan Higgins, Social Services.
"She's more like a friend"
The nurse has just been to check on Linda;  she regards the nurse as more of a friend.   “Does she know all your secrets, then?” enquires Diane,
"I know about your arrangement"
“I know about your arrangement with DJ – that he is supposed to help you.”   Linda insists she does not know what Diane is talking about.
"I'm afraid he'll be consumed by guilt"
“It will be easier for me to support DJ if I know the circumstances,” Diane goes on, “I’m afraid he’ll be consumed by guilt after you go, and won’t be able to grieve properly.”

"I'll take my final breath without help from anyone"
Linda states categorically that there is no arrangement between her and DJ;  “I’ll take my final breath without help from anyone.”
