He is forced to confess that there is something going on between him and Sioned, but not what Dani thinks.
“She’s blackmailing me – she wanted more for Deri Deithio but I said no. If I didn’t give her £25,000, she threatened to say that I was the baby’s father.”

Hywel is furious; “Why didn’t you keep your passport in your pocket?”
Outside, John Post, in the taxi, sounds his horn. In the doorway, Hywel insists that they cannot go to Canada without her passport, so she says that he and Esther will have to go, and she will follow as soon as she has obtained a replacement passport.

but he replies that it will be soon, and asks how she will decide when it is time. She tells him that she will know when the time comes, and thinks he will too.

Sioned continues that her mother will not see the doctor, and she is sorry that she has put Dani through all this, as they are friends.
Dani takes issue with this; “No – we used to be friends!”
Sioned protests that she would never sleep with Garry, just as Garry comes in, but is ordered out of the flat.
