Ed stealthily creeps out of the flat early in the morning, leaving his wallet on the table.

| "That bunting is wonky!" |
The Deri is being decorated for St Dwynwen’s Day, while Garry finds fault with the bunting. Britt confirms she does not mind Siôn and Gwyneth taking part;

“I’m just gutted that I won’t be here to see them making fools of themselves!” she says.

| "Why didn't you tell me before?" |
Then Garry announces that Cadno and Eifion will not be coming, as Cadno does not want to do it. Dani asks if Britt and Colin would, but meets a flat refusal.

| "Toilet problems – isn't that romantic?" |
Then Britt receives a text from Colin, asking if she will come and looks at the toilet flush, before he calls Iolo. “Romantic, isn’t it?” she comments, before going home.

| "I'm going to find a replacement couple!' |
Dani is next to go, as she has to find a replacement couple for tonight, and will start with Sheryl. Mathew asks Garry if it is too early for a pint;

| "It's too early for you!" |
he replies, “For you, yes, but not for me!”

| Sioned is puzzled to find Ed's wallet . . . |
Sioned finds Ed’s wallet on the table

| . . . and that his coat is missing |
and his coat gone; she looks worried.
 |
| "Ed's the victim!" |
Kelly wants to talk to Tyler; he demands what is so important. “Sioned and Ed – he’s not abusing her – I was wrong – Ed is the victim!”

| "You're obsessed!" |
Tyler accuses her of being obsessed, as this is all she has talked about for weeks. “But I saw her attack him, and then say it was self-defence – I know she was lying!” Kelly insists.

| "You can't interfere like this" |
Tyler warns her that she cannot interfere in people’s lives like this, and urges her to leave them alone.

| "Which degree did I do at University?" |
In the café, Siôn and Gwyneth are practising their answers, with little success,

| "Coffee, please, Gwen" |
when Tyler calls for a coffee; Sioned comes down just as Ed enters,
 |
| "Where have you been?" |
and asks where he has been;
 |
| "Thanks for being the perfect wife!" |
he produces flowers and wishes her “Happy St Dwynwen’s Day, love! You deserve it – thanks for being the perfect wife!”
He kisses her rather extravagantly,

| "Please – some of us are trying to eat!" |
and Gwyneth comments, “Please – some of us are trying to eat! Don’t you have a bedroom upstairs?”

| Dani is desperate for another couple |
Then Dani bursts in, wanting Sioned and Ed to take part in the contest this evening. Both of them are in full agreement, and Ed is confident that they will win.

| "This is your chance to prove yourself" |
Sioned tells him that this is the chance for him to prove himself.
As Colin and Catrin work on something just out of sight,

| "Making a gift instead of buying one?" |
Chester remarks, “Making a gift instead of buying one?” Catrin describes it as more personal,
 |
| "Stingy, if you ask me" |
but Chester would call it, “Stingy!”
Colin thinks it is high time they went back to school, as Britt will soon be coming. Chester gives the excuse that he does not feel well.

| "If you want to see us snogging on the sofa!" |
“That’s fine – if you want to see us snogging on the sofa!” replies Colin, which changes Chester’s mind, and they leave.

| "Ooh, Colin!" |
Britt, complete with plunger, is surprised by all the red roses, then Colin wishes her, “Happy St Dwynwen’s Day!’

She is sorry that she has not got anything for Colin;

| "We don't need that!" |
he takes the toilet plunger from her hand and tosses it away.

| "That was an excuse, was it?" |
“That was not an excuse to get me home, was it?” she asks,

| "I shall have to keep my eye on you!" |
“I shall have to keep an eye on you, Colin Evans!”

| Iolo does not remember what he was told |
Tyler asks Iolo who was his first ‘snog’, and is upset when Iolo does not know; “I opened my heart to you – but you weren’t listening!

| "Melanie was really fit!" |
“It was Melanie, actually – she was really fit!”
 |
| "We're too self-obsessed" |
Iolo concludes they do not have much chance of winning, being too self-obsessed.

| "No, it's 'Rocky'!" |
Engaged upon the same subject, Sioned asks Ed what is her favourite film, and he suggests ‘Green Mile’, whereas the correct answer is ‘Rocky’.

| "That meal doesn't sound classy enough" |
When he knows her favourite food, “Chicken fried rice, curry sauce and prawn crackers,” she does not want people to know that, maintaining that ‘seafood paella’ sounds more classy.
Then she asks what animal would she be, and he immediately answers, “Monkey!”

| Ed does not look totally convinced |
She appears to be in a better mood, as she hugs him, and they prepare to leave.

| "It's hardly your sort of thing, Siôn" |
In the Deri, Gaynor is surprised that Siôn is being involved in something like this; “It’s hardly your sort of thing!” Gwyneth conspicuously kisses him.

| The second couple arrives |
The next to arrive are Sioned and Ed, followed by Iolo and Tyler.

| Vicky has bet a fiver on Iolo and Tyler |
Vicky tells Tyler, “I’ve placed a bet on you to win – if you lose, I want a fiver!”

| Garry starts the proceedings by ringing the bell |
Garry rings the bell and shouts for Mathew;

| "And here is your master of ceremonies!" |
the master of ceremonies makes his entrance, in a silver outfit, and craftily winks at Vicky.
In the chip shop flat, Colin wonders where Britt has got to;

| "She's left you for a younger model" |
“She’s left you for a younger model,” Chester answers. Catrin comments that he is only winding Colin up as he has not got a girlfriend, adding that she has a boyfriend, Saeed.

| "You're too young to have a boyfriend" |
“You’re too young to have a boyfriend,” says Chester.
 |
| "I shall have to go and have a word with his father" |
Colin appears to agree with this, suggesting that he will have to go round and have a word with Saeed’s father,

| "You're so annoying!" |
but when he adds that he might take Uncle Garry with him, both he and Chester burst out laughing. “You’re so annoying!” Catrin snarls.

Britt returns home and presents Colin with a gift, a ukulele; “I thought you could play us a few songs,” she tells him,

“What was your band called? The Cards?” Colin replies that it was ‘The Covers’, and is keen to go and make a cup of tea;

| Colin is in a quandary |
he looks frightened.

| Siôn and Gwyneth have had their questions |
In the contest, Siôn and Gwyneth have scored six out of ten; Mathew invites Sioned to come with him and write down her secret answers.

Meanwhile, Ed tells Tyler that he does not want to let her down. Tyler reveals that Kelly has been talking to him. “Not about Sioned and me again?” replies Ed,

| "She seems obsessed with us!" |
“She seems obsessed with us, making up stories and silly comments. I think she’s got a screw loose, always looking for drama.”

| "I'll do anything for money!" |
Gaynor moans to Garry, “I’m disappointed in you – I thought the Deri would be the place to escape from all this St Dwynwen’s Day nonsense!” but he points out that he will do anything for money.

| "Sioned's ideal holiday destination?" |
Mathew asks Ed the first question; “What is Sioned’s ideal holiday destination?’

| "Bora Bora!" |
Without hesitation, Ed answers that it is Bora Bora – and it is because the Kardashians have been there.

| "Come on – just one tune" |
Chester urges Colin to play just one tune,

| "I only do classical" |
but he explains he only plays classical music; Britt saves him by sending the children to do their homework. She assumes that Colin does not like the present,

| "The tambourine was my instrument!" |
but he admits, “I love it, but I have no idea how to play it – the tambourine was my instrument!”

| This occasions hilarity from the children |
Catrin and Chester, who are eavesdropping in the kitchen, burst out laughing, and Chester comments, “You made it sound as if you were a rock star!

| "That's about as cool as Aaron's recorder!" |
“A tambourine is about as cool as Aaron’s recorder!”
The final question; “What does Sioned do when she’s angry?”

| "I can help with that answer!" |
Kelly has just come into the Deri and says she can help with the answer, but Ed firmly replies that he does not need any help, as it is obvious that she goes shopping.

This again is the correct answer; “I think this couple know each other quite well!” says Mathew.

| "Ed's scared of her!" |
Kelly sits by Tyler and tells him that Ed is scared of her; Tyler demands that she stop this, but she is emphatic, “No way!” There is a five-minute break before the final couple, Iolo and Tyler.

| "You look sexy in that!" |
Mathew needs a pint, and Vicky remarks that he looks sexy in that outfit.

| "It must be difficult for you, being single" |
Sioned tells Kelly, “It must be difficult, coming to something like this when you’re single. I’m sure you’ll find someone, like I found Ed!”

| "Why are you so obsessed with us?" |
When she has moved on, Ed comes across and warns Kelly that he does not want her talking to Sioned. “Why are you so obsessed with us – are you jealous?”

| "You confessed to me!" |
She is amazed, reminding him that he confessed to her,
 |
| "I didn't say anything!" |
but he insists, “I didn’t say anything – even if I did, no-one will believe you. I’m happy with Sioned, and everyone here can see that, so leave us alone!”

| Tyler finds the last question difficult |
Tyler is stuck on the last question, Iolo’s favourite food; he suggests Chinese, and is told the right answer is steak. “You never want that when I cook it!” Tyler says, and Iolo replies that he cooks it until it is black.

They score five out of ten, so the obvious winners are Sioned and Ed,

| Dani presents the prizes |
who are presented with a bottle of wine and a professional photo shoot.

| "Did we have to be so generous?" |
Garry grumbles, “Did we have to be so generous? Just the bottle would have been enough!”
 |
| "I might ask where my present is!" |
Dani cautions him to keep quiet, or she will ask where her present is.
 |
| After some tuneless chords . . . |
Colin strums tunelessly at the ukelele;

| . . . Coilin admits he is a failure . . . |
“I’m useless – you’ve wasted your money – I can’t do it – I’m a failure!”
 |
| . . . but Britt is unreasonably optimistic |
Britt predicts, rather optimistically, that with some practice, he will be a rock star by next Christmas.

| Ed is about to drag Sioned off to bed |
When they reach home, Sioned tells Ed that she was very proud of him tonight. “I knew we’d win, because we’re a perfect couple,” he replies, “And to prove that, it’s time to celebrate like a proper couple!” Taking her by the hand, they walk towards the bedroom.
 |
| "I have job-hunting to do tomorrow" |
Vicky is leaving the Deri, as she has another day of job hunting tomorrow; she kisses Mathew and says she has enjoyed the evening.

| "I won't allow a pretty girl to walk home alone" |
“You don’t think I’d allow a pretty girl to walk home alone, do you?” he asks,

| Something is developing here |
and they kiss again.
“Come on,” invites Vicky.
