Ed stealthily creeps out of the flat early in the morning, leaving his wallet on the table.

The Deri is being decorated for St Dwynwen’s Day, while Garry finds fault with the bunting. Britt confirms she does not mind Siôn and Gwyneth taking part;

“I’m just gutted that I won’t be here to see them making fools of themselves!” she says.

| "Why didn't you tell me before?" |
Then Garry announces that Cadno and Eifion will not be coming, as Cadno does not want to do it. Dani asks if Britt and Colin would, but meets a flat refusal.

| "Toilet problems – isn't that romantic?" |
Then Britt receives a text from Colin, asking if she will come and looks at the toilet flush, before he calls Iolo. “Romantic, isn’t it?” she comments, before going home.

| "I'm going to find a replacement couple!' |
Dani is next to go, as she has to find a replacement couple for tonight, and will start with Sheryl. Mathew asks Garry if it is too early for a pint;

he replies, “For you, yes, but not for me!”

Kelly wants to talk to Tyler; he demands what is so important. “Sioned and Ed – he’s not abusing her – I was wrong – Ed is the victim!”

Tyler accuses her of being obsessed, as this is all she has talked about for weeks. “But I saw her attack him, and then say it was self-defence – I know she was lying!” Kelly insists.

Tyler warns her that she cannot interfere in people’s lives like this, and urges her to leave them alone.

In the café, Siôn and Gwyneth are practising their answers, with little success,

when Tyler calls for a coffee; Sioned comes down just as Ed enters,

He kisses her rather extravagantly,

Then Dani bursts in, wanting Sioned and Ed to take part in the contest this evening. Both of them are in full agreement, and Ed is confident that they will win.

Sioned tells him that this is the chance for him to prove himself.
As Colin and Catrin work on something just out of sight,

Chester remarks, “Making a gift instead of buying one?” Catrin describes it as more personal,

Colin thinks it is high time they went back to school, as Britt will soon be coming. Chester gives the excuse that he does not feel well.

“That’s fine – if you want to see us snogging on the sofa!” replies Colin, which changes Chester’s mind, and they leave.

Britt, complete with plunger, is surprised by all the red roses, then Colin wishes her, “Happy St Dwynwen’s Day!’

Tyler asks Iolo who was his first ‘snog’, and is upset when Iolo does not know; “I opened my heart to you – but you weren’t listening!

“It was Melanie, actually – she was really fit!”

| "We're too self-obsessed" |
Iolo concludes they do not have much chance of winning, being too self-obsessed.

Engaged upon the same subject, Sioned asks Ed what is her favourite film, and he suggests ‘Green Mile’, whereas the correct answer is ‘Rocky’.

When he knows her favourite food, “Chicken fried rice, curry sauce and prawn crackers,” she does not want people to know that, maintaining that ‘seafood paella’ sounds more classy.
Then she asks what animal would she be, and he immediately answers, “Monkey!”

She appears to be in a better mood, as she hugs him, and they prepare to leave.

In the Deri, Gaynor is surprised that Siôn is being involved in something like this; “It’s hardly your sort of thing!” Gwyneth conspicuously kisses him.

The next to arrive are Sioned and Ed, followed by Iolo and Tyler.

Vicky tells Tyler, “I’ve placed a bet on you to win – if you lose, I want a fiver!”

the master of ceremonies makes his entrance, in a silver outfit, and craftily winks at Vicky.
In the chip shop flat, Colin wonders where Britt has got to;

“She’s left you for a younger model,” Chester answers. Catrin comments that he is only winding Colin up as he has not got a girlfriend, adding that she has a boyfriend, Saeed.

Colin appears to agree with this, suggesting that he will have to go round and have a word with Saeed’s father,

In the contest, Siôn and Gwyneth have scored six out of ten; Mathew invites Sioned to come with him and write down her secret answers.

Meanwhile, Ed tells Tyler that he does not want to let her down. Tyler reveals that Kelly has been talking to him. “Not about Sioned and me again?” replies Ed,

Gaynor moans to Garry, “I’m disappointed in you – I thought the Deri would be the place to escape from all this St Dwynwen’s Day nonsense!” but he points out that he will do anything for money.

Catrin and Chester, who are eavesdropping in the kitchen, burst out laughing, and Chester comments, “You made it sound as if you were a rock star!

Kelly has just come into the Deri and says she can help with the answer, but Ed firmly replies that he does not need any help, as it is obvious that she goes shopping.

This again is the correct answer; “I think this couple know each other quite well!” says Mathew.

Kelly sits by Tyler and tells him that Ed is scared of her; Tyler demands that she stop this, but she is emphatic, “No way!” There is a five-minute break before the final couple, Iolo and Tyler.

Mathew needs a pint, and Vicky remarks that he looks sexy in that outfit.

Sioned tells Kelly, “It must be difficult, coming to something like this when you’re single. I’m sure you’ll find someone, like I found Ed!”

When she has moved on, Ed comes across and warns Kelly that he does not want her talking to Sioned. “Why are you so obsessed with us – are you jealous?”

but he insists, “I didn’t say anything – even if I did, no-one will believe you. I’m happy with Sioned, and everyone here can see that, so leave us alone!”

Tyler is stuck on the last question, Iolo’s favourite food; he suggests Chinese, and is told the right answer is steak. “You never want that when I cook it!” Tyler says, and Iolo replies that he cooks it until it is black.

Colin strums tunelessly at the ukelele;

Britt predicts, rather optimistically, that with some practice, he will be a rock star by next Christmas.

When they reach home, Sioned tells Ed that she was very proud of him tonight. “I knew we’d win, because we’re a perfect couple,” he replies, “And to prove that, it’s time to celebrate like a proper couple!” Taking her by the hand, they walk towards the bedroom.

Vicky is leaving the Deri, as she has another day of job hunting tomorrow; she kisses Mathew and says she has enjoyed the evening.
