At Llwyncelyn there is a persistent banging on the door, and when Gaynor opens it, Britt bursts in, demanding, “What’s this? The e-mail about Chester that went to every parent in the school?”

After taking a look, Gaynor tells her that this was only sent to the staff. Britt rages, “You said some terrible things about Chester,

At the chip shop flat, Chester cannot believe that his mother went to see Gaynor, but Colin points out that she cares about him. Catrin pipes up, “She cares more about him than us,”

Britt returns, announcing that she did not give Gaynor a chance to say anything; “Now I’m going to phone the Education Authority – I’m not going to let her get away with it, am I?”

As DJ eats his breakfast at Bryntirion, Jason and Sara arrive to impart the good news to Dai that Jason is his new partner, but specify one condition. “I shall worry about Awyr Iach, with me leaving and Sara having the baby – we need someone we can trust.”

Sara adds that they need a trainee manager.
Dai comments that Diane will not be too happy with that title, but they point out they had DJ in mind. He says, “Gone behind my back again, have you?

“Why would you want me to work for you?” Sara insists that he is not afraid of hard work, and he is family. Dai remarks that it is easier than plastering.

Sara will be there for the first three months or so, and Anita will be there to help; if there is any problems he can talk to Jason.

DJ does not know what to say, but Dai pleads, “If you won’t do it for yourself, then do it for me!”

At this, DJ agrees, stressing that it is only temporary.

Gaynor is in the shop, trying to convince Colin it was all a terrible mistake; “It doesn’t matter what I think,” he replies, “Chester was worried about going back to school, even before this mess.”

Vicky comes in, surprised that Colin is still talking to her after what had happened. “It’s all that Mam and Mark are talking about,” she says, and when Gaynor maintains that it is none of her business, she protests,

“My little brother is at that school, so it is my business!” Gaynor leaves.

Four school pupils are by the bus stop when Chester leaves the flat, and subject him to jeers; “Hey Chester, how was jail?” Britt threatens to sort them out if they do not leave him alone.

Chester does not want her tagging along, as she is a constant embarrassment,

“There are going to be changes at Awyr Iach,” announces Sara, and they suspect this means someone will lose their job. “Jason and I are going to be partners at APD, so Jason will be working full-time there.”

“So more responsibility for us?” anticipates Gwyneth, but is told there will be no changes,

except for the fact that DJ will be joining them as a trainee manager, to run the place while she is on maternity leave. This does not go down well with Gwyneth

| "I don't know how I could be so clumsy!" |
At school, Gaynor does not know how she could be so clumsy, especially when she was trying for a new job. Ffion assures her that she would have alerted Gaynor, but her internet was down;

“Just think how poor Chester must be feeling!” she adds, and just then he comes along the corridor.

Ffion sympathetically tells him, “If you have any problems as a result of the e-mail, come and see me straightaway!” Gaynor chides her for mentioning the e-mail, but Ffion says, “We can’t ignore it, can we?”

Chester walks to his locker, and everyone turns to watch him; Catrin is nearby, and tell him to ignore them,

As Ffion is about to start a lesson, Gaynor comes to tell her that the Education Authority have phoned, wanting a meeting. Ffion replies that they have no choice if a complaint has been made.

“Great – my career is over!” panics Gaynor, “Can we have a chat at lunchtime, as I need to talk about this?” Ffion is not eager, but eventually agrees to spare half an hour

In the Deri, Garry says that it would have been better for Chester if Britt had simply ignored the e-mail; “Another investigation – is that what you want? Do you think he’s ready for that? You’ve dragged the Education Authority into this mess – you should have kept calm and thought a bit more.”

Dai and Jason come in for a celebration pint, advising Britt that Jason is the new partner at APD, which title he thinks should be changed. Dai states, “Jim has left – and good riddance!” When Britt suggests he should have more sympathy, as Jim has lost a child,

DJ asks Sara if she is always this awkward, and Sara explains she has been living with Siôn too long.

In the café, Ffion suggests, “There is one way out – fall on your sword and withdraw your application.”
