"There's plenty of food in the fridge"
Before she goes to work, Diane tells Linda that there is food in the fridge for her lunch.   DJ is standing nearby, and is not looking happy;
"You'll be late for work"
he tells her she will be late for work, but he wants a quick word with his mother before he goes.
"I threw your tablets away!"
When she has left, he tells Linda, “I threw your tablets away – the ones that were being kept for you at Penrhewl.   Don’t worry about how I found them – the question is how you found them.”
"I got them online"
She replies that they were online.
"To end it all?"
“To end it all?   Do I really mean as little as that to you, Mam? he asks.
"Ffion?"
Gethin finds that Ffion is not in the flat, but has left a note;
She has gone to Cardiff
“Gone to Cardiff.”   He makes a phone call,
"Ring me back please, Dani"
and leaves a message for Dani to ring him back.
Two people, excited at Wil's imminent return
As Sheryl leaves the shop, she meets Anita, who is very excited about the return of Wil;  Sheryl says that she too can think of nothing else.
Anita has been cooking for him
Anita has made him a special chilli, because he likes spicy food.   “I didn’t realise you were thinking of having him over straightaway,” comments Sheryl,
"He'll be at Esther's adoption party"
“He won’t be coming over on Thursday – he’ll be with us at Esther’s adoption party in the Deri,” so Anita wants him to visit her on Friday.
"He'll be here for a while"
Sheryl assures her, “There’s no hurry – he’ll be here for a while, so there’s plenty of time to spend with him.   He is not going anywhere.”
"The two weeks will fly past"
Anita points out that the two weeks will fly past.
"Maybe he'll want to stay longer"
“That’s what has been organised, but maybe he’ll want to stay longer,” replies Sheryl, “Neither of us would stop him doing that, would we?”
This puzzles Anita
and Anita is puzzled.
Dani's pregnancy develops
Dani, who is now noticeably pregnant, leaves the Deri and heads for the café,
Gethin is behind Dan in the queue
where Gethin is ordering a black Americano from Gwen.
The sight of Gethin changes Dani's mind
When Dani sees Gethin there, she turns to leave,
"Dani, this is stupid!"
but he dashes after her, shouting, “This is stupid!”
Dani would rather describe it as embarrassing, having to hear from other people that her brother is back.
"Expect things to go back to normal?"
“You expect things to go back to normal, do you?   You just walked out on Ffion!”

"I don't expect forgiveness"
He explains that things between him and Ffion are not good, and with Macs around . . .   He does not expect forgiveness;  she exclaims that he is not getting any, and walks away
"I don't want to suffer more than necessary"
Linda points out that it is quite simple to her;  “I don’t want to suffer more than necessary – when the time comes, I want to be in control as much as I can.
"I've been planning this for weeks"
“I have been planning this for weeks – you’re not the one who wakes up in the middle of the night, worrying.”
"It's not right – and against the law"
DJ makes it quite clear that what she intends to do it is not right, according to the law, and to anyone else who has an ounce of common sense.
"That's easy for you to say"
She points out that it is easy to say that when he has his health.   She gave the tablets to Cadno as it was easier, and demands whether anyone else knows about them;
"I'm too ashamed"
DJ reveals he is too ashamed to tell anyone.
“Most people fight death to the end – why can’t you?   I’m trying to reason with you to show that life is worth fighting for,” he continues.   She maintains that until he is in this situation, and she hopes that he never is,
"You have no right to judge me"
he has no right to judge her, as she thought long and hard before coming to the decision.   She would like him to respect that.
DJ wields the kitchen scissors
He grabs her purse, takes out the credit card and cuts it into pieces with the kitchen scissors, saying that he will make sure she does not order any more tablets.
"It's a bit awkward really"
Hywel has just emerged from CwmFM when Anita stops him, wanting a word;  “It’s a bit awkward really – I was talking to Sheryl earlier, and she said something a bit weird.
"Wil might be staying more than two weeks"
“She said maybe Wil might be staying here longer than two weeks.”   Then she realises that he already knew about this.
“Of course I’m happy about this, but is Darren happy?” Anita continues,
"You had better talk to Sheryl about it"
“He doesn’t know, does he?”   Hywel does not want to get involved, and tells her to talk about it to Sheryl, then hurries off.
"I want you to speak to Dani on my behalf"
Gethin enters the Deri, where he does not get a warm welcome from Garry, and asks him to speak to Dani on his behalf as he wants to make amends.
"She's not interested in you"
Garry points out that she is not interested in him, but Gethin replies, “You don’t believe she doesn’t want anything to do with me ever again, do you?
"You'll need me when you're on paternity leave"
“You will need me to run the garage when you’re on paternity leave,” but Garry reminds him that he left everyone in the lurch.
“As you said, life is easier when I’m around,” remarks Gethin,
"Not everyone would agree with that"
but Garry doubts that everyone would agree with that.
"I've never been good enough for you, Mam"
Out in the garden at Bryntirion, DJ tells his mother, “I’ve never been good enough for you – choosing to commit suicide proves that.   That’s exactly what it would be, so don’t fool yourself.”
"It's just speeding up the process"
Linda informs him that it would only be speeding up the process, but he wonders where her fight has gone. She admits that she is not a strong woman and cannot help how she feels.
DJ takes it out on the poor little rose bush
He viciously kicks the roses in the garden, which had been planted for her, but she shouts at him to stop, as those flowers have not done anything to him.
"We planted these for the future – what a joke!"
“We planted these for the future – what a joke!” he rages.
"What did you mean, Sheryl?"
Anita next goes to the salon, where she wants to talk to Sheryl about Wil’s visit;  “What did you mean when you said Wil might stay on for longer?”
"He's old enough to make up his own mind"
Sheryl replies that he is old enough to make up his own mind.
"Does Darren know what you are thinking?"
“You’re exactly like Hywel when I tried talking to him – does Darren know what you’re thinking?”
"You stay out of this!"
Sheryl advises her to stay out of this, insisting that she will speak to Darren,
A client arrives at the salon
and in the nick of time a client arrives, so Anita is asked to leave.   “I’m not going anywhere until I’ve had an explanation!” she insists,
"It's up to Wil – all right?"
so again Sheryl says that it is up to Wil to make up his own mind,
At last she has got rid of Anita
and tries to get rid of Anita.
Gethin's arrival in her flat . . .
Dani is not pleased to see Gethin in the Deri flat;
. . . does not please his sister
she insists that she does not want to talk to him.   Garry knows that he has upset her, but they will be back as best friends soon.   Gethin wants to know why he is getting all the blame, as Garry started this off.
"I'm the only one not allowed to make mistakes"
“It’s not fair I’m the only one not allowed to make mistakes!” but Dani points out that he keeps making them all the time,
"I'm always the one who gets hurt!"
and she is the one who gets hurt.
"That's exactly what Moc would want!"
Garry tries to cool down the situation;  “That’s exactly what Moc would want – you two at each other’s throats!   Do you want Moc to win?   Even after he died?”   Dani answers that she cannot forget just like that, and Garry recommends that she give Gethin a cwtch.
"No, I'm not going to cwtch you!"
On the contrary, she walks out of the flat.
"I've never seen such a mess!"
When she gets home, Diane demands what has happened to the roses;  “I’ve never seen such a mess!   Was it vandals?   I’m going to phone the police!”   Linda explains that it all got too much for DJ;
She admonishes DJ
Diane is disgusted, and tells him, “There was no need to take it out on the roses,”
"I feel better now after that"
but he replies that it did him good, and he feels better now.
"Right, I'll go and clear up"
He will go out and clear up the mess.
Garry has a call from Geraint
Garry, who has just had a phone call,
"There's a load of work for you at the garage"
tells Gethin, “Right, there is a load of work for you in the garage.   Geraint’s sick – he’s got shingles.   Have you heard from Ffion?”
"I've really messed up"
Gethin doubts if he will hear anything, and says that he has really messed up.
"I'm not giving up on you, Dani"
Dani comes back in, and Gethin tells her that he has not given up on her;  “Despite everything Moc did, I’m grateful to him for you – so I’m not going anywhere.”   He leaves for the garage.
"Has he heard from Ffion?"
Dani is worried about Ffion, and is told by Garry that she has not contacted Gethin;
Dani texts Ffion
she gets out her phone to text her.
"Look, don't get all worked up about it"
Anita is now at Hywel’s house, where he advises her not to get worked up about it.
"She's up to something – and you're scared of her!"
“She’s obviously up to something – and you’re scared of her!” Anita accuses, “Try to make her come to her senses – nobody should put pressure on Wil to stay longer than has been agreed.
"Does she want him to stay here permanently?"
“Tell me the truth now, Hywel – does she want him to stay here permanently?”
"Talking about me, are you?"
At that moment, Sheryl returns;  “I thought so – you’re talking about me behind my back!   Can I have a word with Hywel in private, please?   You’re interfering in my son’s life.”
"It's my grandson's life!"
Anita emphasises that it is her grandson’s life.   Hywel steps in, and asks Anita to respect Sheryl’s request;  she storms out.
"I don't trust her – or you!"
“I don’t trust her – or you!” Sheryl exclaims, “Whose side are you on?   It looks like you’re on the fence.”
"I don't want you two arguing while he's here"
He explains that he does not want Wil’s mother and grandmother arguing while he is here.
"I make the decision on Wil's future!"
She angrily replies, “I want to show her who’s boss!   I make the decision on Wil’s future, not her!”
"I thought you wanted Wil to do that"
“I thought you wanted Wil to do that,” Hywel comments,
"My decision and nobody else's!"
but now she is getting wound up, insisting that whether or not Wil stays in Cwmderi permanently is a decision she will be making as his mother, and it is not up to anyone else.
Dani arrives at the garage with peace offerings
Gethin is at work on a car when Dani comes in with two coffees and some doughnuts;  “You left the café earlier without your coffee,” she says,
"Ffion is fine and will be back for dinner"
“I texted Ffion, she’s fine and will be back for dinner.”
This comes as a relief to Gethin
He is very relieved that that that she is coming home, and Dani assures him that everything will be all right, if he gives her some time.
“You know I hate doughnuts,” he tells her,
"I shall have to eat them, then!"
so she decides that she had better have them, and smiles as she walks away.
"Something is wrong"
Diane interrogates DJ;  “This private chat you had with your mother – is that why you quarrelled?   I’m not stupid – something is wrong.”
"My mother is dying of cancer"
DJ answers that of course something is wrong – his mother is dying of cancer.
Diane goes on, “I know it’s a strain, watching your mother deteriorate in front of you,
"It won't be the roses that get it next time"
“but there’s no need to bottle everything up, or it won’t be the roses that get it next time.   You would tell me, wouldn’t you, if you had other concerns?”
He does not look very sincere
He tells her that of course he would.
Anita looks at the photo of Wil
Anita gets home to number 10 in quite a state;  she looks at the picture of Wil on display, and resolves to make a phone call.
She launches a pre-emptive strike against Sheryl
“Hiya, Darren, this is your mother.   There is nothing wrong – well nothing much wrong.   Would you be willing to ring Sheryl for me, before Wil comes over?
"And phone me back"
“And phone me back when you get this message.”
