| "Garry's not in the garage" |
Sioned comes into the Deri, remarking to Dani that Garry is not in the garage; she alleges that when she went to Llanarthur, there were no cars which took her fancy.
| "I thought you'd be working on your Spa" |
“I thought you’d will be working on new Spa,” Sioned says, and Dani tells her that she will be choosing paint this afternoon.
| Garry is back early |
Then Garry unexpectedly returns; he says he could not wait to see Dani.
| "This new Spa is exciting!" |
Sioned tries to stir things, mentioning the new spa, and Dani is worried how Garry will react,
| "Yes, from what I have heard, it sounds very exciting!" |
but he remarks that, from what he has heard, it sounds very exciting. “I’m very proud of you,” he tells Dani,
| A specially stage-managed kiss |
and kisses her, very conspicuously, for Sioned’s benefit. Sioned tells Garry that she wants a new car, something more nippy, and that she will come over to the garage later.
| "Why did you say that?" |
When Sioned has gone, he tells Dani that she was stirring; she explains to him that she wants to set up a Flash Spa, where customers can have up to three treatments at the same time. He leaves for the garage, agreeing that they will talk about it later.
| "No, Colin, today is a bit tricky" |
Eileen tells Colin that today is a bit tricky, and suggests next week, but he is eager for this psychic sitting, as he had another of the dreams about his father last night.
| Colin has been dreaming again |
“He was in a foreign and exotic country – I’m not sure where.”
| They tell Jim they are discussing organic produce |
Jim comes into the room, and they tell him they are discussing new stock for the shop; “I was just asking Eileen if she was free to come and have a look at the organic produce with me,” he says,
| "We were going out, weren't we?" |
but Eileen insists that she and Jim were going out this afternoon. Jim, of course, does not know anying about this,
| "Oh, in that case you can come with me" |
so Colin concludes that there is nothing to prevent her going with him.
| "I was trying to be nice to Colin" |
When Colin has gone, she tells Jim that she did not want to go with Colin, but she is trying to be nice to him as he has just lost his father.
| "Look – you missed a bit – just there!" |
Debbie is cleaning the café windows when Josh arrives and tells she has missed a bit;
| "I hope you've forgiven me" |
he hopes that she has forgiven him if he upset her last week.
| "Why don't you pack up and move far away?" |
She replies, “Why don’t you pack up and move far away? You won’t upset me then – or apologise to me!” She marches back inside.
| "The other one needs three new tyres" |
Gethin advises Garry on the position with the cars in the garage when Sioned approaches;
| "I'm thinking of changing my car" |
she starts by pretending that she wants to change her car.
| "We've got a lovely Mini Cooper" |
Gethin interrupts, “We’ve got a lovely Mini Cooper – metallic gold,” but Garry says he will deal with this.
Then she tells him that she wants a word in private;
| "I have nothing to say in private!" |
“I’ve nothing to say in private – and I thought I had made that clear!” he replies.
| "You don't want anyone else hearing this!" |
She suggests that he will not want anyone else to hear this, and tells him to come to the flat. As Gethin is nearby, Garry agrees to see her later.
| "This toaster has finally died" |
Britt discovers that the toaster has finally died; “Fancy coming to the Llanelli this afternoon to buy new one?” she asks Colin.
| "Eileen has psychic powers!" |
He answers, “I know you don’t want me to go and see a psychic, but it won’t cost me a penny. She doesn’t want me to say anything, but Eileen has psychic powers
| "Oh yes – pull the other one!" |
– yes, I had a shock too – she’s kept it quiet ever since she was a little girl, but she’s going to try and use her sixth sense to contact Dad. At least, I know she won’t lie to me, or take advantage of me.
| "I'm not going to stop you" |
Britt, who has been trying to stop herself laughing, advises that she will not stop him, but only he can bring closure to this situation, not some psychic, and certainly not Eileen; she looks very determined.
| Debbie has escaped from Josh . . . |
Debbie appears exhausted when she reaches home, but Josh has followed her; “I want to ask you something – and it’s important,” he says,
| . . . but not for long |
“Why do you dislike me so much?”
She replies that she thinks he has a nerve, setting up his caravan in Cwmderi. “Everyone else has to pay taxes and bills. You’re affecting people’s lives –
| "Ricky's so upset he can't sleep, or eat!" |
“if you want to know the truth, I’m angry because Ricky is being bullied. Because of you, the children call him a gyppo – and it’s affecting his school work. He can’t sleep, he’s not eating – he’s in a real state! That’s why I want you to leave the village!”
| "I don't want to make life difficult for Ricky" |
This comes as rather a shock to Josh, and the last thing he wants to do is to make life difficult for Ricky. He will have to reconsider; he thanks Debbie for being honest, and leaves.
Britt marches through the shop into the storeroom;
| "What are you going to tell Colin?" |
she confronts Eileen, “Just answer me one question – what are you going to tell Colin, when you pretend to be psychic?”
| "This man from Llanelli is supposed to be good" |
Eileen replies she is scared what this man in Llanelli might say, but Britt reiterates, “What exactly are you going to tell him at your sitting?”
| "She's married and lives far away" |
“That this woman is married, and lives far away,” Eileen tells her, but Britt insists that there will not be a sitting, and that she is going to stop this nonsense.
| Britt threatens her |
“I don’t care how you do it, but you’re not going to mess with Colin’s head – or I shall tell him everything!” warns Britt, and walks out.
| "What do you have to tell me, then?" |
When Garry arrives at Sioned’s flat, she asks if he would like a drink, or some food; he refuses. “You said at the garage you had something to tell me,” he snarls, but she goes on about regretting how things have turned nasty between them,
| "We make a good team, Garry" |
and that they make a good team.
Garry repeats that he is not interested; “I would prefer to discuss that Mini Cooper than this rubbish!”
| "You're going to be a father again!" |
Sioned reveals that she is pregnant, and that he is going to be a father again.
| "That doesn't prove a thing!" |
She shows him the pregnancy test, but he maintains that proves nothing; “Maybe you are pregnant, but I’m not the father!” She insists that she is telling the truth, and that she is expecting his baby.
| "This is another little game, isn't it?" |
He rages, “This is another little game, isn’t it? Because you can’t have your own way with me. The same reason you phoned Social Services, and killed the fish in the salon. You’re horrible – that’s why no one likes you – that’s why your businesses failed –
| "That's why Ed threw himself off a cliff!" |
“and that’s why Ed threw himself off a cliff! If you come near me and Dani, or any member of my family, I’ll destroy you!
| "I'll destroy you! Understand?" |
“I’ll destroy you! Understand?”
| "By the end of the year, I'll have a baby" |
Sioned says she understands that this comes as a shock, but by the end of the year she will have a baby – and he is the father; without a further word, he gets up and leaves the flat.
| "No, Colin, I can't do it!" |
In the shop flat, Eileen tells Colin that she cannot do it; Britt was really angry; he realises he should not have told her, but she wanted him to go out with her to buy a toaster.
| "You might not get the answer you want" |
She urges him to let the matter drop, warning that he may not get the answers he wants. He says that, in that case,
| "I shall respect Dad's feelings" |
he will accept that Dad does not want him to know, as he has to respect his father’s feelings.
“Right, we’ll rearrange for next week, after the dust has settled,” Eileen tells him, and he goes away happy.
| Chips instead of school lunch |
Ricky, and two of his mates, are sitting on a bench when Josh approaches and asks if Ricky has a chip for him. Ricky replies that they are going to the house of one of the boys to play FIFA.
| "Are they giving you a hard time?" |
Josh asks if the other boys are giving him a hard time for talking to a gypsy who lives in a caravan, but Ricky answers that they think it is really cool.
| "Elvis Presley and Charlie Chaplin have gypsy roots" |
“Elvis Presley and Charlie Chaplin have gypsy roots,” says Ricky, and offers the rest of his chips to Josh.
| "Have you seen this, Dani?" |
Gethin sees one of Eifion’s leaflets in the Deri, and Dani tells him to remove it.
| She hears that the case has been dropped . . . |
Then she receives a phone call, and is very relieved to hear that Social Services have dropped the case.
| . . . and gives the good news to Garry |
Garry tells her she should never have been reported, and is sorry about his reaction at the time.
| "I'll support you 100%!" |
“I love you – you know that, don’t you?” he tells Dani, “And I've been thinking about your idea for a spa – whatever you want to do with it, I’ll support you 100%!”
| Dani finds this rather out of character for Garry |
She cannot believe that he is so enthusiastic.
| Kelly's bedroom |
Gethin arrives in Kelly’s bedroom, having been told to go up by Anita; he shows her Eifion’s leaflet, which disappoints her.
| Kelly is talking about extreme action |
“Morgan is right – sometimes you have to take more extreme action,” she concludes, “We need to think outside the box – I’ll ring him to see if he has any ideas.”
Gethin is about to leave,
| "You might think I'm really silly" |
but she says, “I want to ask you something – you might think I’m really silly. I been chatting loads with Morgan on the phone and sending e-mails. He wants me to meet him for a coffee or whatever.”
| "Oh – 'whatever', is it?" |
The ‘whatever’ amuses Gethin, but she continues, “Should I – or not?” He replies that she has nothing to lose, and should make it about the campaign rather a date. He even offers to go with her, but she dismisses this idea. He advises her to meet him in a public place, and to tell someone else where she is going,
| "Yes, all right, Dad!" |
and she comments, “Yes, all right, Dad!”
| Garry is deep in thought . . . |
In the Deri flat, Garry ponders, over a glass of whisky,
| . . . then kicks over a stool |
then, in a fit of temper, kicks over a stool, and pours more whisky.
| "You look like you need it!" |
Down in the bar, Dani gives Debbie another drink, saying that she looks like she needs it.
| Josh turns up, yet again |
Again Josh has followed her, and says, “I saw Ricky earlier – he was stuffing himself with chips, and was happy to introduce me to his friends.
| "I think you're the one doing the acting" |
“That wasn’t an act, Debbie, but I think you’ve been acting.”
She demands that he leave her alone, so he goes, saying that they will talk another time.
| "Yes, tomorrow is good" |
Kelly is on the phone to Morgan; “Yes, tomorrow is good.” A somewhat familiar voice on the other end of the line tells her he will be in a café bar all afternoon, and will text her the details.
“I’ll be the old man in the corner, with a pint of bitter,” he advises,
| "I still haven't seen a photo of you" |
and she comments that she has not seen a photo of him. “I’ve seen the photo of you on the website, so I’m sure we’ll be OK,” he replies, “I’m looking forward to seeing you.”
| He is looking at the CPC website . . . |
Morgan is sitting in front of a laptop displaying the CYFEILLION POB CREADUR (Friends of Every Creature) website.
| . . . and had this photo on his screen |
A photograph of Gethin is on the laptop screen,
| The return of the Cwmderi Paedophile |
and he is revealed to be none other than Morgan ‘Moc’ Thomas – last seen escaping from the police on 1 August 2013.
