8 May 2017

Dani has signed for her delivery
Dani has just received a delivery – the fish that eat feet;
"Do you regret buying them?"
Sioned asks if she regrets buying them.   Dani replies that the timing is rather awkward, and behind her Garry can be seen coming out of the Deri.
"Social Services have launched an enquiry"
“Social Services have launched an enquiry because I gave Gwern an alcopop,” she says, and is angry when Sioned tells her that everyone knows about it.   “So everyone is saying I’m a bad mother!” exclaims Dani.
"You have your Fish Spa to worry about now"
Sioned assures her that the enquiry will be over soon, and she has her Fish Spa to worry about now.   They go into salon to see these fish.
Tyler has been worrying all weekend
As Tyler comes out of the front door of number 7, he asks Gaynor if there have been any further developments about Chester, as he has been worrying about it all weekend.
"I'm hoping to sort something out today"
Gaynor is hoping to sort something out today;  Tyler gets into the van with Iolo.
"Dad was trying to tell me something"
Then Colin sees Gaynor and tells her he had a weird dream about his Dad;  “He was trying to tell me something, but I couldn’t hear him.”
"It's only natural"
Gaynor points out dreams are natural when someone close to you dies, but he insists that this was different to a normal dream.
"Izzy wants to know if you can help with her deposit"
She invites him to call round later as she wants to talk to him about Izzy, who wants to buy a house, and thinks perhaps Colin can help with the deposit.
He appears very downhearted
He once again looks concerned.
"Don't you think it's cruel for the fish?"
“Don’t you think it’s cruel for the fish to have a pair of feet plonked in with them?” enquires Dani, considering that some feet must taste nicer than others.
"My feet would be like a Harrods' food hamper!"
Sioned likes to think that her feet would be like a Harrods food hamper for them.   “And Dai’s or DJ’s feet would be like chip shop leftovers,” adds Dani,
I'm worried that Garry will never trust me again!"
“Do you really think it will be all right with Social Services?   I’m really worried that Garry will never trust me again!”
"It's about time Garry started appreciating you"
“It was only one mistake!” exclaims Sioned, “It’s about time Garry started appreciating you, instead of finding fault all the time!   You’re young, you’re gorgeous, you’re great with Gwern, and now you’ve got your own business.
"Maybe he isn't good enough for you!"
“If that’s not good enough Garry, maybe he isn’t good enough for you!”
"I could see Dad clearly"
Colin tells Britt about his dream;  he could see his dad clearly, but no matter how close he got, he still could not hear him.
"Yes, I dreamed when Brandon died"
She recalls after Brandon died, she dreamed about him a lot, but Colin insists this was not like a dream – it was real, and his father was trying to tell him something.
"I want to know what to do with the money"
“He also has so much he wants to ask his father, like what he should do with the money.
Britt replies that it must be something that makes him happy;
"We could open up the back, and put a café in there"
“Why don't you run a business, like the chippy?   We could open up the back, and put a café in there – and you could run it.”
"Everyone is after my money!"
Colin sighs, “Everyone is after my money – first Gaynor wants money for Izzy, and now you’re going on about the chippy again.   Café out the back, is it?   You’ve obviously thought about it.”
"I'm only with you for your money!"
Britt replies tetchily, “Oh, we know now – I’m only with you for your money!” but Colin insists that they are all planning what he should do with his Dad’s money, although he has not had a penny yet.   Britt has had enough and goes out.
"Look at the testimonials for this trichologist"
Sheryl is looking on the laptop at testimonials from people who were treated by the trichologist she is going to see.   “Their hair is growing back!”
"They wouldn't show them from dissatisfied customers"
but Hywel points out they would not show testimonials from dissatisfied customers – not at their prices.
"I'm afraid you'll be disappointed"
He does not want her to be disappointed, and is afraid her expectations are too high,
Sheryl is determined
but she will not be discouraged.
"I have to go away to a car auction in Bristol"
Garry is ironing, and tells Dani he has to go away for a few days to a car auction in Bristol.
"What were you and Sioned talking about?"
He asks what she and Sioned were talking about earlier, when they went into the salon together.
"Oh, just about the fish"
“Oh, just about the fish,” she tells him,
"I don't trust that Sioned!"
he warns her not to tell Sioned too much personal information as he does not trust her.
"You're doing it again!"
“You trusted her enough to buy two businesses from her!” snaps Dani, adding, “Why didn’t you tell me about this auction?   You’re doing it again – expecting me to drop everything to be available.   I was supposed to be going out tonight, but I have to look after Gwern now.   Don’t take me for granted!
Sara is having problems feeding the baby
Sara, who is home, is worrying that the baby is starving, and she cannot get him to ‘latch on’ properly.
"He's not stressed . . ."
Jason maintains the baby is not stressed about anything;
". . . just look at him"
“You only have to look at him.   Why don’t we go for a walk?”   She will have one last try at feeding him.
Sioned, with her bag, approaches the salon
Sioned, who has a green carrier bag, looks in through the window of the salon,
The crafty madam withholds her number
as she dials a number on her phone, prefixing it with 141.
"Hello, J & S!"
She is lurking in the alley as the salon phone rings;
Sioned impersonates a police officer
Sioned says, “It’s PC Harding calling from South Wales Police.   Are you the owner of the car, registration YG64ENC?”   Sheryl replies that it is her partner’s car.   “We need the road to be clear for a wide load to pass –
"Can you move the car in the next ten minutes?"
“can you move the car in the next ten minutes?”
As Sheryl rushes out, Sioned is waiting for her chance . . .
Sheryl rushes out of the salon to the car which is parked by the Deri, and Sioned slips into the salon, heading straight for the back room,
. . . to empty ice cubes into the fish tanks
where she empties ice cubes into the three tanks containing the tropical fish.
A client arrives in the salon . . .
A customer comes into the salon and calls for Sheryl;
. . . blocking Sioned's escape route
Sioned sees that her escape is blocked, and has to leave by the back door.
She vomits behind the bin
Outside, she suddenly feels nauseous, and throws up beind the wheelie bin.
"Before he died, he was with a woman"
Vicki is the barmaid in the Deri, and Colin addresses her, “You know –  this is a bit odd, but it’s about Dad – before he died, he was with a woman, and I’m trying to find out who.
"Dol was not back in his life, was she?"
“Dol didn’t happen to be back in his life, did she?   It’s just that this woman is a bit of a mystery.”
"Well, it's good that he died a happy man"
She replies that her Gran was not in the village at the time, but she considers that it is good that he died a happy man.   Colin wonders, “But, if the circumstances were happy, why hasn’t this woman made herself known?   What is she hiding?”
Vicky went to see a psychic once
Vicki recalls that once the boy she was in love with just disappeared, and she had no idea where he was;  in the end, she had to go and see a psychic, and then found that he had moved to Ibiza with her friend Charlize!   But she does know a good psychic who lives just outside Llanelli.
Colin is not sure about this idea
Colin is not sure that he believes that sort of thing, but Vicky says she has found him very accurate, and he has helped the police;  she gives him the psychic’s card.
"Sorry, Britt – I was so upset"
As he is looking at it, rather sceptically, Britt comes in, and he apologises for accusing her earlier.   He was upset after that dream, and took it out on her.
"Is Gwern ready?"
Then Britt asks Dani if Gwern is ready as he is staying with her for the next couple of nights.
"He doesn't trust me, does he?"
This comes as news to Dani, who had told Garry she was cancelling her night out;  “He doesn’t trust me, does he?   It’s that business with Social Services  – I’ll go and get Gwern now.”
"Do you think I should go and see a psychic?"
Colin asks what Britt thinks about him going to see a psychic;  she is quite forthright, “Colin, you’re in enough of a state as it is, without listening to a woman lying to you about Sam.”
Sioned fleetingly looks at the baby
In the alley, Jason wants to introduce Sioned to the new baby, but she seems in rather a hurry.   He grumbles, “What’s the matter with her?
"She hardly stopped to look at you, Ifan!"
“She hardly stopped to look at you, Ifan – didn’t even ask what your name is!”   They head towards the café,
"You're going to have your hair done"
but Jason says he has arranged for Sara to have her hair done in the salon, and her nails.   He thought she deserved to be pampered, and she remarks that he is really sweet.
Ifan is the centre of attention
They enter the salon and both Sheryl and Vicky admire the baby;  he is named Ifan after Sara’s dad.
"I'll make a cup of tea"
Sheryl says will go and make them a cup of tea, but Sara wants to feed the baby, and asks if there is somewhere private she can go.
Vicky talks about cracked nipples
She is told to go into the back room, while Vicky regales her with tales of painful cracked nipples.
"There are tanks full of dead fish out here!"
There is a sudden cry of disgust from the back room;  “There are tanks full of dead fish out here!” Sara exclaims.
"You obviously don't trust me!"
At the garage, Dani is remonstrating with Garry;  “Gwern’s staying where he is with Britt – you obviously don’t trust me!   Why did you ask Britt to have him for two nights?   It’s because of the social services, isn’t it?”
"No!   You're joking!"
Then she receives a troubling phone call and rushes out of the garage, with Garry following.
Sioned has a pregnancy test kit . . .
In her flat, Sioned reaches into her pocket and takes out a pregnancy test kit;
. . . and looks at 'Ed'
she looks at it, and then at the ‘statue’ of Ed.
Yes, they look pretty dead
As she surveys the tanks of dead fish,
"I checked and double-checked!"
Dani wails, “I checked and double-checked.   The temperature has gone right down – I don’t understand it!”
"Did you have the chemicals right?"
Garry wonders if she had the levels of chemicals right;  he is told that the man from the company set it all up, and everything was fine.
“Sheryl, you haven’t done anything by accident, have you?” Dani asks,
"I haven't been in the room all day"
but she maintains that she has not been into the room all day.   Then she remembers that she did have to go out for a few minutes to move Hywel’s car.
"the police asked me to move Hywel's car
The police phoned and asked her to move it, for a wide load or something.
"I can't do anything right, can I?"
Dani laments, “I can’t do anything right, can I?   It’s no wonder you don't trust me with your son – I can’t even take care of fish!”   He assures her that he just wanted to give her a break.
"I want you to take it easy for a while"
“Someone’s reported you to Social Services, and I don’t like the thought of someone watching you, waiting for you to making another mistake.   I want you to take it easy for a while.”   He hugs her.
"Do you know who this is?"
In the Deri, Colin is on the phone;  “Hello, is that the psychic man?   Do you know who this is?   No – sorry – this is Colin Evans –
"I want to see you about my father"
“I’d like to come and see you – it’s about my father.”
It appears to say 'pregnant' . . .
Sioned looks at the pregnancy test result,
. . . presumably just the result she wanted
and a look of smug satisfaction crosses her face.
