First course – Asda Chicken soup, followed by a tin of beans
Moc is in the kitchen at Penrhewl, hungrily – and noisily – tucking into a can of beans;
Cadno is not going to be happy when she returns
the place appears to be in a mess, and there is a shotgun, with a box of cartridges, on the sofa.
Colin cleans Gaynor's barbecue . . .
In the garden at Llwyncelyn, Colin is industriously cleaning Gaynor’s barbecue;  his phone rings, he sees that Eileen is calling, and rejects the call.
. . . which surprises her
Gaynor comes out of the house and is surprised to see him;  he thought she could use some help.   “There’s nothing like the first barbecue of the year,” he comments, “But you put this away without cleaning it!”
"I don't want to work for her!"
His phone rings again, and he tells Gaynor that it is Eileen;  “She’s putting pressure on me to come back to work, but I don’t want to work for her.
"I shall miss all the gossip"
“I shall miss the shop terribly, especially on Monday mornings, chatting to everyone about the weekend gossip.   I might have to find another job, to keep up with the news.
"I'm not one to stay at home"
“I’m not one to stay at home, lounging on the sofa –  or a ‘gentleman who does lunch’!”
"I'm going to a wedding with Elgan"
Gaynor has taken the afternoon off to go to a wedding with Elgan, and Colin asks if she has had permission from the headmistress.
Garry keeps his beady eye on Gethin
In the Deri, Garry is keeping an eye on Gethin, as Dani asks him if he has heard from the police.
"They will want to interrogate us"
She is worried about being interrogated by them, but he admits that he has not contacted them.
"He can rot in that shed!"
“He can rot in that shed!” Gethin snarls, but Dani protests that he could starve;  she knows that he wants revenge,
"This is not the way, Geth"
but this is not the way.
“Do you want to help him?   He is more important to you that I am!” exclaims Gethin,
"I should decide what happens to him!"
“I’m the one who was hurt, so I should decide what happens to him, not you or a court of law!”   Dani looks horrified as he leaves, and Garry continues to look suspicious.
Colin has refreshmentsafter his job
Colin has finished cleaning the barbecue;  “You could eat your dinner off it off it now – right, what you want me to do next?   Cut the hedges, or paint the table?”
Gaynor asks him what he thinks about her dress;
He debates what treatment the table should have
he is more interested in working out how to treat the garden table.
"Does my bum look big in this?"
“Does my bum look big in this?” she demands, and he replies that she looks perfect, as usual.   She is worried that this wedding will be quite posh, with a lot of doctors, and concludes that the dress is not right for the occasion.
Gaynor is having second thoughts about the wedding
She even wonders if she is doing the right thing, going to this wedding.
"You go for it!"
He encourages her to go for it.
Elgan looks for a wedding card
In the shop Dr Pritchard tells Eileen that a friend is getting married, and he is looking for a suitable card.
Eileen summons up her courage . . .
Eileen asks his advice;  she closes the door and begins,
. . . and tells the doctor what happened
“The night Sam Evans died, I’d had dinner with him, and he had a couple of drinks too many.   I helped him up to bed, but I fell asleep for half an hour, and when I woke up, he was dead.   I didn’t phone for an ambulance, and now I feel so guilty.”
"There was nothing anyone could have done"
The doctor assures that there was a problem with his heart, that he died in his sleep, and there was nothing anyone could have done about it,
This comes as a relief to Eileen
which does make Eileen feel better
Josh and Ricky are going fishing
Josh arrives at Maes-y-Deri to take Ricky fishing;
Debbie does not take kindly to this
Debbie complains that he should be working during his free lessons.   Ricky replies that it is all arranged now, and they are going to the stretch of river near the manor.
Josh tempts Kath with a picnic
Kath is not keen on going to sit on a riverbank for hours, but Josh has a picnic in his bag, so she grudgingly agrees.
"What do you think of this one, Colin?"
Gaynor has put on another dress, and tells Colin that if it is not perfect she is sending it back;  Elgan arrives, and comments, “Lovely!”
"Amazing what a bit of varnish can do!"
Misunderstanding him, Colin replies it is amazing what some sanding and varnish can do.
"I think I've gone over the top!"
She is afraid that she has gone over the top completely,
"You carry on – don't mind me!"
but Elgan confesses that he is not sure whether he wants to go to this wedding.
Elgan does not want to subject Gaynor to drunk medics
In the privacy of Llwyncelyn, he tells her he had a call from Huw last night, and the boozing had already started.   “This wedding will be over the top – and you don’t want to be surrounded by drunk medics!” he assures Gaynor,
He just wants to spend time with her
“To be honest, I don’t want to go – I want to spend time with you, and get to know you better.”
She sits down and takes off her shoes, as she reminds him he has already booked the hotel,
"We can change the location to somewhere else . . ."
but he insists that he can change the location to somewhere else,
 ". . . somewhere romantic!"
somewhere romantic – a double room.
The relationship develops
He kisses her.
"What were you two talking about?"
Gethin is working at the garage when Garry asks what he and Dani were talking about.
"Oh – nothing"
At first, Gethin says it was nothing, but after further enquiring by Garry,
"Moc's back in Cwmderi!"
admits, “Moc’s back in Cwmderi – he sneaked back into the country to see Dani and me.   I locked him in a shed at Penrhewl.”
"I don't want that pig near Dani and my baby!"
“I don’t want that pig near Dani and my baby!” snarls Garry, and when he hears that Dani has been to see her father, he is furious.   “This is your chance to get revenge – let him get what he deserves.
"Prison is too good for paedophiles!"
“Prison is too good for paedophiles.   I went to look for the man who abused me, but he died before I found him – don’t you make the same mistake!”
Fresh, local-caught fish
The fishermen are back with enough fish for Debbie to put them on the menu at the café;  Josh is looking forward to fish pie for dinner.
Josh will go and sell some of them
He will keep the best ones for them, and sell the rest.   Ricky is proud that he caught four.  “A fisherman is only as good as his flies,” says Josh, showing Mark his box of handmade flies.
"Try to knock some sense into Debbie"
Kath asks Mark to do his best to knock some sense into Debbie, as Josh is a lovely bloke.
Eileen is offered fresh fish
Josh goes into the shop and attempts to sell some fish to Eileen;
"Lovely trout!"
“Fresh from the river – £2 a trout,” but she does not like trout.
Then there is some salmon
She is more interested in the salmon, but does not get much time to cook these days,
"I'll come over and cook it for you!"
so Josh volunteers to come over and cook it for her.
"I think it's time you left"
She begins to feel uncomfortable and asks them to leave.
"He's vermin!"
In the garage, Garry closes the roller shutter, and describes Moc as, “Vermin –  you don’t need to show any mercy.”
"He says he's ill"
Gethin points out that Moc says he is ill;  he does not like going against his sister, who wants to tell the police.
"He would only get five years"
Garry warns him, “How long would he get in jail?   Five years!   It would be your word against his – do you really want to go through that – having to tell everyone what he did to you?
"It could destroy your life again!"
“I wouldn’t – it could open old wounds, and destroy your life again, just for the sake of locking him up for five years.   He could be lying about his health – I don’t want him to get out and target our child – and maybe your son!
"Paedophiles don't change!
“That’s what he’ll do – paedophiles don’t change!”
"You're suggesting I kill him?"
“You’re suggesting I kill him?” says Gethin, and Garry points out and that he is in the country illegally,
"No-one will miss him"
“so no-one will miss him and no-one will look for him.   “I could put an end to it – but I’ll need your help!” Gethin replies.
Moc is writing something . . .
As the shotgun lies nearby, Moc is writing on a shotgun cartridge;
. . . on a shotgun cartridge . . .
one reads, “Sheryl,”
. . . perfectly described as a 'hit list'
and he places it near two others, marked, “Anita,” and, “Gethin.”
In the café, Debbie looks at the rest of the family, gathered around a table;

"I know it's not easy"
Kath sympathises with her that it is not easy,
"You went behind my back!"
but Debbie points out bitterly that they went behind her back to get a DNA test.   Kath says that she can see that everyone else gets on well with him, and asks Debbie to give him a chance;  “Then, if it doesn’t work out, at least you’ll have tried.”
"Stacey is the one with the brains"
Mark tells Josh that Stacey is the one with the brains, and Josh replies that he went to the school of life;
"You must do your best at school"
he stresses to Ricky that he must do his best at school, and then will be to do anything he likes.
Kath enquires if he is coming over to cook the fish tonight;
"If everyone wants me there"
“Well, if everyone wants me there,” he answers, and Debbie tells him to come over, if he wants.   She agrees, reluctantly, to clean the fish,
"Aargh!   You left a hook in this one!"
but then stabs herself on a hook which has been left in one of the fish;  she hurries back into the kitchen,
"Get out of my sight – you and your smelly fish!"
shouting, “Get out of my sight – you and your smelly fish!   Trouble follows you everywhere!”
Dani is worried about Moc
In the back street, Dani is convinced that Gethin has lost the plot;  he assures her that he has taken Moc food and drink.
"What if he dies in the shed?"
“What if he dies in that shed?   We’ll be charged with manslaughter – or worse!” she frets.
"Look, I'll phone the cops tomorrow"
He agrees that he will phone the police tomorrow and sends her home.
Gethin locates a suitable murder weapon . . .
He goes to the garage, where he finds a heavy hammer, wraps it in a cloth, and leaves again.
. . . witnessed by Garry
while Garry sits in the driver’s seat of a car there, and watches him.
He doggedly embarks on his gruesome mission
Gethin strides resolutely out into the street.
