| Anita is not happy |
Anita is back home, and is angry that Kelly allowed Ed to stay there, as he has killed someone;
| "It was self-defence!" |
Kelly protests that it was self-defence, and wonders how many times she has to say it. Anita is insistent, “That doesn’t change the fact that Dewi is dead – he’s a murderer, Kelly!”
“I can’t chuck him out – he is in a state!” Kelly replies,
| "You gave Kevin a home" |
reminding her, “You gave Kevin a home when he was desperate – what Kevin did was worse than what Ed did!”
| Ed comes downstairs . . . |
Ed comes downstairs
| . . . but Anita shows her disapproval |
and thanks Anita for letting him stay.
| "The shower's stopped working!" |
Gethin, clad only in a towel, complains to Ffion that the shower has stopped working;
| "I've got shampoo in my hair!" |
“I’ve got shampoo in my hair – when will APD fix that bathroom? Go and to have a word with them, please.”
| "Drama queen!" |
She mutters, “Drama queen!”
| "No, it wasn't Liv" |
Tyler hurriedly picks up his phone when it sounds, but it is not Liv, only John, asking if he is playing five-a-side tonight.
| "She'll be in touch when she's ready" |
Iolo predicts that she will be in touch when she is ready; “When will that be? We haven’t heard a word for a fortnight,” frets Tyler, “I’m not going to school today –
| "Greta kept me up all night" |
“Greta kept me up all night. The last thing I need is a double lesson with year 10!”
| "And when Gaynor finds out?" |
“And what happens if Gaynor finds out?” demands Iolo, but Tyler replies that she will not.
| "No way, José!" |
Dai is outraged by this idea and the prospect of paying thousands in interest; “No way, José!” She then suggests transferring money from their personal account, but he objects to mixing their money with the company’s money.
| "We must do more work!" |
“If we go down that road, we could even lose the house! The only way out of this is to do more work – I’m going to Cwrtmynach now to price a job – hard work has never killed anyone! We’ll get through this, trust me.”
| Ed sits morosely |
Ed is sitting silently at the table;
| "Whsy can't you accept that you're not guilty?" |
“Why can’t you accept that you’re not guilty?” asks Kelly,
| "Because I am guilty!" |
and he replies that he is guilty. “It was self-defence – the DS can see that, and that’s why she’s not charging you.” Ed is confident that she will charge him, and it is only a matter of time.
| "Why are you protecting Sioned?" |
“I can’t understand why you’re protecting Sioned, denying she knew all about it,” says Kelly, “She deserves to be punished!”
| Ed fears her revenge – again |
Ed explains he does not want to give Sioned another reason to take revenge on him. Kelly insists that she is taking him for breakfast, but to the café in Llanarthur.
| "Go and get changed!" |
“You’re coming, so go and get changed!”,
Iolo has been hanging out washing,
| Iolo rushes to turn off the gas |
and when he comes in he finds a saucepan boiling over, which Tyler was supposed to be watching.
| "I can't do two things at once!" |
“I can’t do two things at once!” is the angry reply.
Iolo demands what they are going to do if Liv does not come back;
| "I know you don't want to discuss it" |
“I know you don’t want to discuss it, because when I mention it, you change the subject.” Tyler is adamant that they will not put Greta into care, as she is his niece,
| "We may have to raise her for ever" |
so they will have to raise her – for ever if they have to.
Iolo moans, “I know you feel responsible for her, but do you know what I would have liked?
| "It would be nice to be involved" |
“To have been included in such a crucial decision. I’m going for a shower.”
| Kelly and Ed walk along the street . . . |
Kelly and Ed emerge from the door of number 10, but as they approach Bethania,
| . . . but come face to face with Sioned . . . |
they are confronted with Sioned, who demands what on earth he is doing out.
| . . . so head in the other direction . . . |
Kelly leads Ed in the opposite direction, as Sioned shouts after them;
| . . . only to encounter Mark |
but then they meet Mark on his round.
| "Have you told tham what you did?" |
He says, “Have you been to the police? Have you told them what you did? They wouldn’t have released you!”
| "They're making enquiries" |
Ed replies that he has, and they are making enquiries. “So you’re free to go walkabout in the meantime, are you,” Mark shouts,
| "Theuy locked me up – for something you did!" |
“They didn’t release me! While they made enquiries, they locked me up – for something you did! You ruined my life!”
Ed says that he is sorry, but Mark continues to shout, “You weren’t sorry when you framed me with that phone!”
| They now have an audience |
Several people have gathered to listen, and Gethin asks Mark if he heard correctly, and is told,
| "He came nack from the dead and confessed!" |
“That’s exactly what I said – he came back from the dead and confessed!” Gethin is incredulous that Ed could do such a thing.
| Eileen finds this unbelievable |
Eileen has come out of the shop, and she too cannot believe what she has heard.
Inside number 10, Ed rants. “Did you hear Mark? I hate myself for what I’ve done to him!”
| "I have to support him, Auntie Anita" |
Kelly tells Anita that he is so fragile, she has to support him, but is warned that she will cause herself a lot of problems.
| "People are not going to like it!" |
Many people in Cwmderi will be annoyed with her for letting him stay here on their doorstep.
| "Don't make the same mistake I did with Kevin!" |
“Kelly, please don’t make the same mistake I made with Kevin! I didn’t consider the effect it would have on my friends, Sheryl for example.
| "Shouldn't you see how Mark feels?" |
“Mark is a friend of yours – shouldn’t you find out how he feels after all that has happened?
| "Didn't you have any idea?" |
“Didn’t you have any idea?” asks Eileen, and Sioned lies that the first she heard of it was
| "Not until DS Davies told me" |
when DS Davies told her, but her mother doubts that she is telling the truth.
| Eileen have grave doubts as to her daughter's truthfulness |
“You’ve lied so many times. So you’ve been living with a man who killed someone, and are you trying to tell me that you didn’t suspect him at all? If that is true, do you realise how much and danger you’ve been in?
| "What if he turned on you?" |
“What if he lost his temper and it turned on you?”
Sioned replies that he did when she pushed her down the stairs of the café. Eileen recommends that the best thing to do is to break all ties with him, and stay away from him.
| "£5,000 for a brand-new porch!" |
Dai returns with a spring in his step; “The job is in the bag, Diane – a brand-new porch, £5,000! We have to accept every job we’re offered, to keep our heads above water after paying the fine.”
| "If we overstretch ourselves . . ." |
She predicts that if they overstretch themselves, they will be in trouble.
| "Can you start the bathroom sooner?" |
Ffion comes in, reporting that her shower is broken and hoping that they can start the bathroom work sooner.
| "We agreed on Thursday" |
Dai points out that they had agreed to start on Thursday, and that they are up to their eyes.
| "What if I paid half the bill upfront?" |
“What if I paid half the bill upfront?” she suggests,
| Dai likes the sound of that |
and he agrees that it would put her at the front of the queue. “Can you start on Monday?” Ffion asks, and gets out her phone to transfer the money.
| "Sorry I didn't discuss it with you" |
Social services are speaking to Tyler on the phone, wanting to know how Greta is settling in. Then he apologises to Iolo for not discussing it; he has to raise Greta – he is her uncle.
| "You're scared of Gethin too close to her" |
“You’re scared of getting too close to her, in case Liv comes back.”
| "i shall be gutted when Liv takes her away" |
Iolo maintains that deep down he knows she will return, and he will be gutted when she takes Greta away; “But having her here puts our plans to have a baby on hold. I find the whole idea frustrating, and looking after her is stressful. We would be well prepared for our own baby wouldn’t we?
| "But this is a mess" |
“But this is a mess, and we can’t keep taking days off work like this.”
| "I'll see if there is a place in the crèche for her" |
Tyler will go to the crèche to see if they have a place for her, and is sure that no one from school will see him.
| Kelly has to force her way in |
Mark is not eager to let Kelly in through the front door; “I know I’m not one of your favourite people at the moment, but I wanted to check that you’re all right,” she says,
| "Ed hates himself" |
“And I know you hate Ed, but not as much as he hates himself. He’s really suffering. You’re not the type to enjoy seeing people suffer.”
| "He let me suffer for weeks, didn't he?" |
“He let me suffer being locked up for weeks, didn’t he?” Mark demands, but she replies that he knows he should have come clean, and asks whether Mark has never made a mistake. “I’ve never sent an innocent man to prison, no!” he tells her.
| "It could have happened to you!" |
“He went over to Dewi’s flat to defend Sioned – it escalated and went too far – it was an accident. You went over there to defend Vicky, and it could have happened to you!”
| "But I wouldn't send him to prison for something I'd done!" |
Mark argues that he would not have sent Ed to prison for something he had done, and Kelly assures him that Ed is trying to make up for it now.
“You’ve had a really tough time, but Ed has been through hell with Sioned.
| "Dewi will be on his conscience for ever" |
“Dewi will be on his conscience for ever, so please, this is your chance – be the bigger man, yeah?” She turns and goes.
| Ffion has acted the online transfer . . . |
“The £2,000 has landed in your account,” Ffion informs Dai,
| . . . and says that Gethin will be pleased |
“Gethin will be pleased – we’ll have a brand-new bathroom by the end of next week!” However, when she has gone,
| "There's no chance of finishing that by next week!" |
Diane says that there is no chance of Ffion having a new bathroom by next week as they are too busy. She scolds Dai for taking half the fee upfront, as it is not APD’s policy.
| "I'll keep Ffion sweet" |
Dai advises her to leave Ffion Llywelyn to him, as he will keep her sweet;
| "You're going to give APD a bad name!" |
“You’re going to give APD a bad name,” she grumbles, “And a bad name could be the end of us!”
| Ffion comes to give Gethin the goos news |
Gethin is in the pit, working on a car, when Ffion comes in to give him the good news that APD will be starting the work on Monday;
| "I always get what I want!" |
“You should know by now, I always get what I want! Paying half the fee upfront probably helped.”
| "You never pay workers before they finish the job!" |
He complains that you never pay workers before they finish the job, and asks what happens if something goes wrong.
| "You're the one who wanted it done immediately!" |
“Don’t have a go at me! You insisted that they do the job immediately!” she says, walking out.
| Mark visits number 10 |
Mark arrives at number 10, and Ed is less than happy to see him.
| He wants to draw a line under it |
“I’ve just come to say that I have no more to say about Dewi’s death. What happens now is between you and the pigs.
| "I'm not forgiving you" |
“But I won’t have any more arguments. I’m not forgiving you,”
| "It's some kind of truce" |
and Kelly suggests that it is some kind of truce.
| "I'm doing it for me and Ricky" |
“I’m not doing it for you,” Mark goes on, “But for me and Ricky – I've wasted too much time obsessing about this – so, enough.”
| "That was the last thing I expected!" |
He leaves, and Ed admits, “That was the last thing I expected!”
| "Obviously he doesn't hate you" |
Kelly points out that Mark obviously does not hate him or he would not have come here,
| She hugs him |
and she hugs him.
| Iolo has taken on a huge job in Kidwelly |
Iolo has just taken on a huge job in Kidwelly, but then Tyler breaks the news that the nursery will not take Greta, as she is on medication. Other crèches in the area are full.
| "I can't take another sickie" |
“I can’t take another sickie!” insists Tyler, so Iolo realises that he has to take another day off work,
| "I soon won't have any customers left!" |
but is well aware that at this rate he will not have any customers left.
| Sioned approaches number 10 . . . |
Sioned carries two black sacks across the road, dumps them outside number 10 and bangs on the door;
| . . . and Ed comes to the door |
after she shouts for Ed, he comes to the door. She has brought his clothes, and an envelope;
| "A letter from my solicitor" |
“A letter from my solicitor, saying that I’m starting divorce proceedings.
| "I don't want to be married to a murderer!" |
“I don’t want to be married to a murderer! I want you to have it before the DS drags you off to prison.”
| She removes her wedding ring |
She also takes off her wedding ring and gives it back to him.
| Off she goes, with her mother watching |
Eileen has been watching this performance from outside the shop, and Kelly waves to her.
| The bags are taken inside |
Then they pick up the two bags and take them inside.
