| Garry is half asleep this morning |
Garry did not get to bed until dawn, as he had been up talking to Elgan all night;

| "He's not working this morning" |
“He was weighing up the pros and cons of what he’d done.” Dani points out that it is all right for the doctor to be up all night, as he is not working this morning.
She complains that Garry has been talking to Elgan all weekend, but he replies, “I feel sorry for him – Gaynor just turned against him.”

| Colin is eavesdropping |
Colin, who is sitting at the bar, takes an interest in this.

| "How did the wedding go?" |
Then Dani asks Colin how the wedding went,

| "Well, it . . . went" |
and he tells her, unenthusiastically, “It . . . went, you know. Everyone was very jolly and enjoyed themselves.” Then he adds, “I couldn’t help hearing you talking about Gaynor and Elgan.

| "She saw the light at the end" |
Dani wonders why it took Gaynor so long to start questioning; “But there we are, she saw the light in the end.”

| "I may have been responsible for that" |
Colin confesses that he may have been responsible for that.

| Wendy is on the phone |
Then he receives a phone call from Wendy, and looks concerned.

| "I did wonder about her weird behaviour" |
Elgan explains to Anita, “I did wonder about her rather weird behaviour – as if she’d become a stranger somehow. Until Friday she had been very supportive, but obviously she had been pondering her thoughts after what I told her about DJ, and his guilty conscience.”

| "You can tell me, Elgan" |
Anita assures him that he can tell her, but he insists she must not say a word to anyone.

| He tells her of his suspicions |
“I am of the opinion that DJ sent to me to Bryntirion deliberately, to make sure I was there at the exact moment that Linda died.”

| Colin is in a nervous state . . . |
When Colin arrives home, Britt tells him that Raymond phoned about the album; “You promised Wendy you were going to call in on her tomorrow.” Very nervously, he agrees that he said that,

| . . . which is exacerbated when he hears Raymond is coming |
but then he is even more disturbed when Britt goes on, “You don’t have to go – Raymond said he’s calling here later – at 5:30 – and he sounded a bit angry – you said you would give it to them on Saturday.”

| "Oh no, there's no problem at all!" |
Now in a full-scale panic, Colin looks at his watch, and realises there is not much time left, but still maintains there is no problem – no problem at all.

| "Colin – oh, where's he gone?" |
He rushes out of the flat, without explanation.

| He finds Catrin and Chester in the café |
Chester and Hannah are in the café, where a complete stranger is behind the counter; Colin hurtles in

| "It's an absolute mess!" |
and proclaims, “It’s a mess – an absolute mess! I’ve been trying all day to sort out the photos – Wendy phoned and I put her off until tomorrow, but now Raymond is coming this afternoon!”

| "There is something seriously wrong with the photos" |
Catrin points out that she told him to be honest with them, but he protests that he thought she would crack the problem. “There is something seriously wrong with them – I did tell you!” she replies, “I’ve tried everything!”

| "Do you want me to have a go with them?" |
Chester demands when Raymond is coming; “I could have a go with them,” he offers, “It’s worth a go, but 5:30 is a bit tight –

| ". . . but I need more time" |
“I shall need more time, so you’ll have to make up an excuse.” Colin will have a word with Jason, to see if he will help out, and urges Chester to get started right away.

| "Sorry to hear about you and Elgan" |
Then Gaynor comes in, and Colin says that he is sorry to hear about her and Elgan. She assures him that what he said helped her to clarify what was on her mind;

| "You gave me the impetus" |
“You gave me the impetus, the confidence, to have a serious talk with him, and I’m grateful to you.”

| "What I told you was . . . a bit misleading" |
But then he admits that what he told her about his father was . . . a bit misleading. “I know what I said . . . but I didn’t have all the facts at the time. Dad died from natural causes – definitely!” He has to hurry away as he has problems to sort out,

| Gaynor does not know what to think |
and leaves Gaynor looking confused.

| Colin urgently needs to enlist Jason's help |
Colin knocks repeatedly on the door of number nine, and tells Jason that he needs help; “Chester needs more time to fix the photos – the problem is Raymond is picking up the album today at teatime – now!

| "You're his friend – can you stall him?" |
“You’re the one who plays golf and rugby with him – you’re his friend – is there any way you can stall him for a bit? Take him to the Deri for an hour!”

| "I've never been so serious in my life" |
Colin stresses that he has never been so serious about anything in his life, but Jason reminds him that he did promise the photos would be ready by Saturday morning. Colin explains there was a problem over the weekend and he is trying to sort out the mess.

| "I'm desperate, Jason!" |
He begs Jason to help him out, as he is desperate, and Jason agrees.

| "On Wednesday at the crematorium" |
In the café, DJ tells Anita that the funeral will be at 11 o’clock on Wednesday at the crematorium. She is glad that he was able to get on with the arrangements,

| "Mam will be back at Bryntirion" |
and he says that his mother will be back at Bryntirion this afternoon.

| "You weren't with her when she died" |
“You know the day you lost her, you weren’t there with her – you were at Llwyncelyn. Is that why you asked the doctor to go and see her?”

| "I thought he might be able to help her" |
He thought that the doctor might be able to help her.

| "Why didn't you go?" |
“It’s a shame you didn’t go with him – why didn’t you go?” Anita asks.

| He takes exception to all these questions |
“I had work to do – are you saying work was more important to me than my own mother?” he replies, but she tells him she is just worried that an innocent person is going to be wrongly punished.

| "Has the doctor been talking to you?" |
“Hang on,” interrupts DJ, “Has the doctor been talking to you about me? What kind of lies has he been saying? Is he saying I did it? Going round saying I killed my own mother? Thanks a bunch, Anita!” He angrily gets up and stalks out of the café.

| "Sorry you have split up, Gaynor" |
Then Gaynor joins Anita, who says she is sorry that they have split up, and that it is a stressful time for both of them.

| Gaynor is told that there may be more to it |
“There may be more to Linda’s death as well,” she advises, “Elgan has told me the whole story.”
Gaynor thinks that it is better if Anita just stayed out of it,

| "Do you think Elgan would be that stupid?" |
but is asked, “Do you think Elgan would be stupid enough to give Linda the tablets, knowing that that DJ was aware he was there?”

| Elgan asks for a pint of bitter . . . |
Elgan comes into the Deri for pint of bitter, but Dani does not look pleased to see him; he apologises for keeping her husband up for so long,

but then receives a phone call, which seems to be good news.

| "There are no charges" |
“That was my solicitor,” he says, “The police have said there are no charges.”

| Dani produces a bottle of champagne, as instructed |
Garry immediately decides he needs more than a pint to celebrate, telling Dani to get a bottle of champagne.

| "I want everyone to hear this!" |
The convivial atmosphere is soon shattered by DJ; “I’ve got some news that I want everyone to hear,” he declares, “He’s trying to say I killed Mam! Trying to blame me for what he did!

| Elgan listens to the allegations |
“I’m not going to listen to this swine!”
Garry informs him that the police are not pressing charges,

| "You're not getting away with this!" |
but DJ is not convinced; “You’re not getting away with this,” he says, and when Elgan wants to discuss the matter with him,

| "I'll never forgive you for what you did to Mam!" |
he insists, “I don’t want to spend a moment with you. I’ll never forgive you for what you did to Mam!”
Then he turns to Garry; “You can shut it too – you’ve sided with him from the start!”

| "Watch your back, good boy!" |
As he is about to to go, he warns the doctor, “Watch your back!”

| The suspense is getting too much for Britt |
In the chip shop flat, Catrin, Colin and Britt are waiting anxiously;

| "I got us an extra hour" |
Catrin says that Chester is still working at it. Colin managed to get them an extra hour, and she thinks that they will need it.

| Sara says he is mad to get involved |
When Jason explains the situation to Sara, she calls him mad: “You’ve already lied to Raymond – you told him you’d seen some of the photos and they were brilliant.

| "Do you have any sense at all?" |
“And now you’ve dug yourself a deeper hole – do you have any sense at all?

| Jason does not relish the thought of Raymond after his blood |
“If Raymond suspects you’re part of a plan to scam him, he’ll be baying for your blood!”

| "I won't be facing any charges" |
Gaynor emerges from the shop and comes face to face with Elgan; “I’ve just heard from my solicitor I won’t be facing any charges,” he informs her, and is about to walk away when she apologises for last week.

| "Sorry – I was a bit hasty" |
“I was wrong to say what I did – a bit hasty,” she confesses, and he agrees with her, but adds that she is also wrong for spreading lies about him.

| "You told DJ, didn't you?" |
“Do you deny that you told anyone about my suspicions about DJ? To DJ himself, maybe? There’s no point denying it!

| "Steer well clear of me, OK?" |
“From now on, stay well clear of me, OK?”

| Jason has chickened out, on Sara's advice |
Jason goes to see Colin and says he has changed his mind about meeting Raymond for a pint, as he is working on a job with Dai tonight. Colin is frantic; “Chester hasn’t cracked the problem yet!” Jason explains that he is not comfortable doing this.

| "Raymond is going to kill me!" |
“No, I’m not comfortable with the situation either – Raymond is going to kill me!” Colin squeals, but Jason does not fancy getting killed either.

| "What have you done, Colin?" |
Britt demands what he has done.

| Gaynor looks at her phone . . . |
Gaynor sits quietly at home, picks up her phone

| . . . but decides against calling Elgan |
and is about to call Elgan, but then changes her mind.

| "He needs another ten minutes" |
After checking on progress, Catrin advises that he needs ten more minutes, but Colin fears they do not have ten minutes.

| "Why didn't you come clean?" |
“Why didn’t you come clean and tell him the truth, instead of lying about it?” asks Britt, and he says he was too embarrassed. He wails that it was his first job as a professional photographer, and it all went wrong.

| "Very professional!" |
“Very professional!” scoffs Britt, “You lost the drone and took green photos!” Colin describes Raymond as a maniac, and then the buzzer sounds. Britt answers, in case he kicks the door down.

| "I'm a dead man walking – or crawling!" |
Colin despairs, “Oh, I’m just a dead man walking – or crawling, after he’s finished with me!”

| Raymond does not appear very sociable |
His visitor walks in, looking particularly unhappy, but, at the very last second, Chester bursts in with the photo album.

“Here you go – you look lovely,” Chester tell Raymond,

| Chester's expertise has restored the photos |
and as he leafs through the pages, Colin looks extremely tense;

| "These photos are spot-on!" |
Raymond gives his positive verdict; “These photos are spot-on!”
Colin apologises for the delay,

| "I wanted to make sure everything was perfect" |
explaining he wanted to make sure everything was perfect for him and Wend. “I’m a perfectionist,” he says,

which makes Catrin and Chester laugh.
“They should all be ashamed of themselves!” Anita tells Elgan, and he reveals that he starts back up the surgery tomorrow,

| "I'll make a fresh start, somewhere else" |
but he is not looking forward to it, as some will have doubts about him for ever, no matter what he does. He thinks that a fresh start somewhere else would be best.

| "That's the biggest mistake you could make" |
Anita, however, describes that as the biggest mistake he could make; he says, “I must answer the question, can I live and work here? DJ still thinks I’m guilty –

| "Gaynor and her big mouth!" |
“this is all Gaynor’s fault – her and her big mouth! She told DJ that I suspected him – and she denies it, of course. Apart from you, nobody else knew, and you didn’t tell anyone, did you?”

| He notices Anita's guilty expression |
Anita looks guilty, and so he demands, “You told him? What was the one thing I asked you not to do? It was bad enough without stirring up trouble with DJ!”

She protests that she had to do something to try and help.

| "What's wrong with people here?" |
“What’s wrong with people here? Poking noses into my business – I don’t need your help!” he shouts

and storms out.

Linda’s coffin is wheeled into Bryntirion and placed by the window;

DJ stands and looks, then says,

| ". . . he's going to suffer!" |
