"There wouldn't have been any shops open"
Next morning, Catrin tells Colin he should have gone to Swansea, but he argues that all the shops would have been shut, and he stresses how wonderful drones are.
"Yes, if you can control them, Colin!"
“Yes, if you can control them!” remarks Chester, rather sarcastically, “Why not go shopping in Swansea now!”
Colin will have to hope for the best
Colin replies that he will never get back in time for the wedding, and will just have to take normal photos of the wedding, making sure they’re tip-top.   “And then hope Raymondo and Wendy forget about the drone photos,”
"Ooh, that's risky!"
which Chester describes as risky.   “I don’t really have much choice,” Colin concludes.   Catrin and Chester leave for school.
Aldi Harvest Morn Golden Puffs for breakfast
As Colin puts back the cereal packet,
The photo of his father sets him thinking
he notices a photo of him with his father, and Britt can see there is something bothering him.   “I saw Debbie yesterday – we started talking about Linda’s death and the investigation,” he tells her,
"Debbie suspects Dr Elgan was somewhere in the mix"
“She said something about Dad – the way he died so suddenly – she suspects Dr Elgan was somewhere in the mix.   I was shocked when she said that –
"You must admit it's a bit weird"
“you must admit it is a bit weird.   I can’t stop wondering about it.”
Britt agrees that no one really knows the doctor, and Colin goes on, “What worries me is that he’s still around here!   What if he kills again?”
"Stop thinking like that, Colin!"
Britt orders him to stop this, and he hurries off as Jason is giving him a lift to the wedding.
"I might go and see the police later"
“I’ve got a break between the main event and the evening party – so I might go and see the police, just to be safe,” he says as he leaves.
Colin cannot help wondering
He walks from the flat into the High Street, still deep in thought, then sees Gaynor at the cashpoint.
Gaynor is looking forward to her weekend away
She tells him that she needs some money as she and Elgan are going away to Tenby;  “Do you remember going there during half-term when the girls were small?
Colin remembers when the girls were young
“They were good times – and I hope we have a good time, too.   Some sea air, a walk along the beach and the cliffs.”
Colin does not think that cliffs are a good idea;
He tells Gaynor of his fears
“You and Elgan, alone on a cliff.   I’ve been pondering, weighing it up – that business about Linda – you and him.”
"There are no charges against him"
Gaynor points out that the police have not brought any charges against him;  “Not yet!” Colin emphasises.
"Do you think he killed Linda?"
“Do you think he killed Linda?” she demands, and he reveals that he suspects that Elgan killed his father as well;  he is serious and will be going to the police later.
"Dad went to see him the afternoon he died"
“Dad went to see him in the surgery the afternoon he died – what if the  doctor gave him some dodgy tablets, or a strange concoction?   You can’t deny that Dad went very quickly in the end.   Listen, just be careful, that’s all I’m saying.”
Now Gaynor is very suspicious
Gaynor is very troubled by his words.
"Sara's not ready yet"
Jason tells Colin that Sara is not ready yet, and that his mother is looking after Ifan until tomorrow morning.
"I'm sure you got some fantastic footage"
“I’m sure you got some fantastic footage of the church from the sky, and zooming in,” he says, and Colin agrees that he did.
Colin is scared of Raymond already
Colin says that he has not met the groom at all, and is not pleased to hear Jason say that Raymond took a swing at him years ago.
"He got two years for GBH!"
“He’s a real head case after a drink – the kind of bloke who bears a grudge for years!   He had just got out of prison when he met Wendy – he got two years for GBH.”
Sara is now ready to go
Thus Colin is looking very worried when Sara appears, and says she cannot wait to see the drone photos.
"Colin – are you coming?"
They all head out of the door.
"I'll be over as soon as I can"
At Llwyncelyn, Elgan is on the phone;  “Don’t worry, I’ll be over as soon as I can,” he says.
"We need to talk, Elgan"
Then Gaynor returns unexpectedly and tells him that they need to talk, and it is important.
"Owen Hughes has taken a turn for the worse"
“I can’t – Owen Hughes has taken a turn for the worse, and his wife was so worried, I said I’d call in.”
"But it's none of your business"
She insists that it is none of his business, but he replies that Owen is more than a patient, he is a friend.   She again exclaims that it is not his place to go over there.   Assuring her that they will talk later, he goes,
Gaynor is left with so many unanswered questions
leaving Gaynor looking aghast.
Colin is back from the wedding
Colin comes back home after the wedding, looking very fraught, and receives a hug from Britt.   “Still wondering about Sam?” she enquires, and he says his head is all over the place.
"I've found some information for you"
Britt has been looking for information and has found the coroner’s report on Sam’s death.
"The coroner's report"
She does not think he needs to go to the police, pointing out that the toxicology report indicates that he died of natural causes.
"A heart attack, complicated by diabetes"
“A heart attack complicated by diabetes,” she reads, “It was nothing to do with Dr Pritchard.”
"That Debbie made me paranoid . . ."
Colin breathes a sigh of relief, saying that Debbie made him paranoid.
". . . but I did tell Gaynor everything!"
However, he then discloses that he told Gaynor everything, but before Britt can moan at him, Catrin and Chester return from school.
"How did it go without the drone?"
They ask Colin how it went without the drone, and he reports that no one asked any questions.   Catrin wants to see his photos,
Chester bursts out laughing . . .
but Chester laughs when he sees that all the photos
. . . as all the photos have a distinctly green tinge . . .
have a green coloration.
. . . and Colin fears for his life
Colin is absolutely devastated.
"I'm so desperate to go down west"
After a long time, Elgan returns, carrying flowers;  “I thought of phoning, but I’m so desperate to go down west, I drove back straightaway,” he tells Gaynor, “When I arrived he couldn’t breathe, so I phoned for an ambulance, then I gave Mrs Hughes a lift to the hospital –
"Then Owen died"
“but then he died.   Mrs Hughes was a mess, so I took her home, and I’ve been there, trying to comfort her.”
"Was Mrs Hughes with you all the time?"
Gaynor begins to interrogate him;  “Was Mrs Hughes with you all the time?”   He replies that she was, except for when she went to get a cup of tea.
"I'd better go and pack"
He is in a hurry to pack for the weekend in Tenby, but Gaynor wants to get one thing clear.
"What exactly was the cause of death?"
“What exactly was the cause of Owen Hughes’ death?”
He replies that it was probably pneumonia or complications relating to it;
"Why all the questions, Gaynor?"
she is very insistent on knowing what happened, and wants to know whether there will be a post mortem.
Colin and Catrin arrive at the reception . . .
Colin and Catrin arrive at the reception,
. . . and see the size of the bridegroom
where they see Jason with to the bridegroom, Raymond.
"I shall be leaving in an ambulance – or a hearse!"
Colin fears that he will be leaving tonight in an ambulance – or a hearse, but Catrin tells him not to be so dramatic.
Colin panics, “That Raymond is dangerous – he bears grudges – he’s a headcase, and I’ve promised to show them the photos tonight – they don’t want green photos, do they?”
"Ooh err!   The big man is approaching!"
When the bride and groom approach,
Colin takes some photos
Colin thinks he had better take some photos of them, but looks very fearful.
"Don't you want to go away?"
Elgan has packed his case, and asks Gaynor, “What is it?   Don’t you want to go away?”
"But I've told you everything"
She replies that what she wants is for him to tell the truth, but he insists that he has told her everything.   All he has done today is his best for Owen Hughes and his wife.
"If you had seen how she was grieving . . ."
“I was a bit late coming home, but if you had seen how she was grieving, you might understand.”
"Owen Hughes died today"
That’s not what bothers me!” she says, “The fact that Owen Hughes died today,” but Elgan informs her he was over 80.
"He and Linda died when you were in the same room"
“Linda wasn’t very old, she goes on, “But they both died when you were in the same room as them.”
He demands if she is trying to say something;  she hesitantly explains, “Well, you and me – how long have we been together?  A few months?
"I don't feel I know you at all"
“I don’t feel as if I’ve got to know you during that time.   I don’t know you any better now than the first day I met you.   No, there are some nights when I lie next to you in bed,
"You scream names in the middle of the night"
“and in the early hours, you scream these words!   Names, sometimes – I have no idea what you’re talking about, but I’m starting to fear that I’m listening to a man with a troubled conscience.”
"What sort of names?"
He rather belligerently demands what sort of names;  she says they were unfamiliar names, and wonders why he is becoming aggressive.   She does not remember exactly what he said,
"It's not really important"
but he dismisses it as not being really important.
"I'm starting to worry who I've let into my home!"
“It is important to me because I’m starting to worry about who I’ve let into my home!” she says.
"Let's see that drone footage, Colin"
At the reception, Sara wants to see the photos, and Jason is keen to see the drone footage.   Colin explains that there is a problem, and that she cannot show them at the moment.
"There's a temporary problem with picture quality"
“There’s a temporary problem with picture quality,” adds Catrin,
"But Cat will crack the technical hitch!"
and Colin is confident that Catrin will crack the technical glitch.
"What if they want to see the photos?"
“What if Raymond and Wendy ask to see the photos?” enquires Jason, “What are you going to tell them?”
"Tell them the photos are fantastic"
Colin begs them for a favour;  “If they ask, tell them that you’ve seen the photos, and they look fantastic,” but Sara grabs the camera and takes a look.
"You can't show these to Raymond – he'll kill you!"
Jason appears horrified by what he sees;  “You can’t show these to Raymond – he’ll kill you!”   Colin confirms that this is what is bothering him, but maintains they will sort it out, and tomorrow morning the album will look tip-top, guaranteed!
But at the moment, he just brings Colin a pint
Colin fears the worst when Raymond approaches, but he is only bringing a pint to express his thanks.
"The photos are brilliant"
He is assured that the photos look brilliant, and is very pleased.
"So you're saying I killed Linda?"
Elgan demands, “So you’re saying I killed Linda?   It could have been DJ, and he is blaming me.
"DJ deliberately sent me to Bryntirion"
“He sent me to Bryntirion deliberately – he was desperate.”
"I'm afraid of you, Elgan"
Gaynor replies that she has no idea who he is any more, and that she is afraid of him.
"This is over!"
“This is over!” she announces.   He shakes his head in disbelief;
"If that's not good enough, I'm sorry"
“I’ve done my best to be truthful, as open and honest as I can be with you, I swear.   But if that’s not good enough, I’m sorry.”
He grabs his jacket on the way out
He picks up his jacket and walks out of the front door.
