Kelly is excited about the parcel

A parcel has just been delivered to Kelly, and she is pleased that it has arrived at last;

"Bride of Frankenstein"

she shows Ed her Bride of Frankenstein costume.

"And I got this for you"

Then she adds, “And I got this for you – you’re going to look fantastic!”

"I won't be going, Kelly"

but he decides that he does not want to go.

“She’s not going to be there, you know! Please, Ed, you can’t have the Bride without the Frankenstein!” pleads Kelly,

"You can send it back"

but he suggests that she sends it back.

Kelly is very hurt

She looks very downhearted.

In the café, Gwyneth is trying to contact Sioned, but can only get an answering machine.

"You're not going to an interview on an empty stomach"

Debbie insists that Vicky cannot go for an interview on an empty stomach;

"My lucky skirt suits an admin assistant"

Vicky says that she is wearing her lucky skirt, which suits an office admin assistant.

"Has the delivery van arrived yet?"

When Kelly arrives for work, Debbie is concerned that her delivery has not arrived yet.

"Are you sure you can eat all that?"

Cadno comes in and orders two large breakfasts;

"I'm looking forward to the party tonight!"

she is looking forward to the party tonight, but Kelly mournfully tells her that she will be going on her own.

"No delivery until tomorrow!"

“There’s been a mix-up – that won’t be a delivery until tomorrow,” announces Debbie, and wonders if Cadno likes tinned sausages.

Sioned looks at Gwyneth's text . . .

Out by the bus stop, Sioned receives Gwyneth’s text;

. . . drawing attention to tonight's party

“Hallowe’en party in the Deri tonight. Fancy it?”

Then she sees Ed . . .

Then she sees Ed, talking to someone by the door of the chip shop.

. . . and cannot resist taunting him

“Well, look at you,” she taunts him, “I used to think you were going somewhere, and now you’re working in the chip shop, covered in grease.”

"You're not good enough for a job in the chippy"

He replies, “And you’re not even good enough to do that, are you? I know you asked for a job here, and I’m sorry you didn’t get it. You’d better go – you don’t want to break your bail conditions!” Sioned walks away, looking sullen.

Siôn pontificates about the fridge

Siôn is instructing Non and Mark on the use of the fridge; “You have to make a record of everything that goes in and out.” Eifion arrives with some vegetables, and is told that they all have to be recorded.

"Were things this strict during rationing?"

Kath wonders if things were so strict during rationing, but Siôn informs her, “You have to have some order, or chaos will rule.”

"No, I don't feel too clever, Non"

Mark is not feeling too well, and Kath suspects that the food poisoning is returning; he goes home to rest.

Eifion does not want to lose out financially

Eifion warns Siôn that they are happy to give vegetables, but if people stop buying from Penrhewl, they will not be able to contribute any more.

"This food is for anyone who wants it?"

“You say this food is for whoever wants it?” he asks, and proceeds to grab some pork pies, then sausages.

"There's no need to be greedy!"

Siôn is outraged and insists there is no need to be greedy; Eifion is restricted to his pork pies.

"Watch people like that!"

Siôn advises Non, “We need to watch people like that who take advantage.

Non is learning what Siôn is like

“So remember, everything goes in the book – Eifion, four pork pies.”

Rather undernourished 'large breakfasts'

In the café, Debbie has produced two ‘large breakfasts’ which look rather small,

"How do we serve 'all-day breakfasts'?"

and Kelly asks how they will serve all-day breakfasts with no sausages. “And we can’t make sandwiches with only half a loaf! You need to think of something, right, because you’ve got run a café without grub!”

The meals are served . . .

They take the two rather depleted breakfasts to their customers,

. . . but do not look exactly 'large'

who immediately notice the paucity of the offering; Debbie blames Kelly for mishearing the order.

"Lucky I took a few pork pies from the fridge"

Eifion comments, “It’s lucky I took a few pork pies from the fridge in the Antur, or I’d be starving by lunchtime.”

An idea occurs to Debbie

This gives Debbie an idea.

Iolo is in control

Tyler gets up late, but Iolo has everything under control;

"I took Greta to the park yesterday"

“I have something to tell you,” says Tyler, “I took Greta to the park yesterday, and I fell asleep on the bench. When I woke up, she was gone.”

"What happened?"

Iolo is alarmed at this news,

"Gwyneth had taken her"

but then Tyler continues, “Gwyneth had taken her to change her. I was so angry with her.”

"What is wrong with that woman?"

Iolo demands what is wrong with the woman, and is told that it appeared that Gwyneth did not think she had done anything wrong.

"I'm not sure I believe her"

“She says she tried to wake me up, but the more I think about it, I’m not sure I believe her,” Tyler adds.

"I wouldn't believe half the things she says!"

“I wouldn’t believe half the things that woman says!” is Iolo’s reply, “But how could you be so irresponsible?” Tyler promises that it will never happen again.

Iolo feels that he is guilty too

Iolo admits, “I’m at fault too – all the pressure’s been on you recently. I’ll get up tonight.”

"We need a break, a bit of fun"

Tyler considers that they need a break, to have a bit of fun; they have not spent time together for ages. Iolo is confident they can sort something out soon. Tyler remembers the Hallowe’en party at the Deri tonight, but Iolo thinks it is rather short notice to find a babysitter.

“I’ll sort something out – come on, it will be a laugh!” Tyler tells him,

"If I see Gwyneth . . ."

and eventually Iolo agrees, but warns that if he sees Gwyneth there, he will not be responsible for his actions.

Gwyneth is still trying to get hold of Sioned

Sitting on the bench near APD, Gwyneth is still trying to contact Sioned, and leaves another message; “I was wondering whether you got my text this morning. Please phone me back.”

The subterfuge is put into action

At the Antur, Kath is supervising a rack of Awyr Iach clothing when Kelly comes in and distracts her attention, by pretending to be interested in the coats.

"This one is windproof and waterproof"

While Kath explains their windproof and waterproof qualities,

Debbie begins her assault on the fridge

Debbie creeps in and helps herself to the contents of the community fridge.

"You don't seem the outdoor type to me"

“I would never have put you down as the outdoor type,” comments Kath, as Kelly tries on an orange coat

Those packs of bacon are about to vanish

and Debbie continues ransacking the fridge;

Mission accomplished

then she signals to Kelly, and they both hurriedly leave.

"That was a successful day"

Later, when the café is closed, Debbie pronounces it a successful day; Kelly points out, “You nicked produce –

"I can't believe I helped you!"

“and I can’t believe you persuaded me to help you.” Debbie insists that she only borrowed it, and when she has leftover food, it will go to the fridge.

"Hang on – we're £5 over"

Kelly is counting the takings, and finds that they are £5 over, and she has counted it twice; Debbie tells her to keep it.

Debbie has a troubling phone call

Then there is a phone call, advising Debbie that Mark is ill;

"Go on – off you go, Debs!"

she agrees to hurry home.

Ed has had a change of mind

Ed comes in, telling Kelly that he is going to need his fancy dress costume after all. She is greatly relieved,

"You can't have the Bride without the Frankenstein!"

and he tells her, “You can’t have the Bride without the Frankenstein!”

As Kelly urges him to go home and change, Sioned is coming down the stairs, and Kelly warns her not to get any ideas.

"I don't enjoy watching adults dress up as children!"

“I don’t enjoy watching adults dress up like children,” Sioned replies haughtily,

"Bride of Frankenstein suits you!"

“Bride of Frankenstein suits you!”

Siôn finds Non cleaning the fridge

When Siôn returns to check on the fridge, Non informs him, “It has all gone, so I decided to clean the fridge.”

"It's not in the book!"

He checks in the book, and finds that it has not been written down, but Non has only just arrived,

"Not my job to watch the stupid fridge!"

and Kath tells him it is not her job to watch that stupid fridge. The only person she saw was Eifion with the pork pies.

Siôn is on his soapbox again

“There are two types of people when it comes to community projects,” lectures Siôn, “Those who respect them, and those who take advantage.

He is convinced he knows the identity of the miscreant

“But I think I know the type of people who have been here today.”

The Hallowe'en Party is under way

The Hallowe’en party is in full swing at the Deri; Cadno asks Ed what changed his mind about taking part,

Ed as Frankenstein

and he says the temptation to dress up was too much.

Then Sioned appears

Then Kelly is disturbed to see Sioned walking in; she tells Ed he is not going anywhere, but he replies he has no intention of doing so.

Gwyneth is surprised to see her

Gwyneth is surprised to see Sioned, and explains she is dressed as the nurse out of Kill Bill; Sioned replies that she looks nothing like her. Then Iolo and Tyler arrive;

"What's wrong with you?"

Iolo confronts Gwyneth and rages, “What’s wrong with you, taking Greta? People are arrested for less!” She demands who is looking after Greta now,

"The best place for Gwern is with his father!"

and Iolo immediately wants to know, “Where’s Gwern? The best place for him is with his father and Dani.”

"You two aren't fit to look after a child!"

“Don’t worry about Gwern – you two aren’t fit to look after a child!” snarls Gwyneth, and Iolo assumes that she is jealous of their happiness, while she is on her own, again.

"Don't drag me into this"

Sioned does not want to be dragged into this argument, and Iolo tells them, “It’s no wonder you’re together – you’ve got no-one else left! Just two bitter bitches – you deserve each other!”

"I know you stole from the fridge!"

Siôn marches in and accuses Eifion, “I know that you stole from the fridge this afternoon!”

"I did no such thing!"

Eifion denies stealing anything,

"Someone like you tries to ruin it"

but Siôn continues, “Every time I try to do something of value for this community, someone like you tries to ruin it, but not this time.”

Cadno points out that they made a generous contribution today, so why would they steal; Siôn is sure of his answer,

"Revenge for the Cornish Pasties!"

“To get revenge for the Cornish Pasties – it’s the kind of spiteful thing he’d do!”

Eifion replies, “And I thought it was a community fridge – it’s more like Siôn’s personal fridge.” He and Cadno will think twice before contributing again.

Siôn is unmoved; “You can’t fool me – I know it was you!” Cadno advises that Eifion was with her all afternoon,

"Stuff you – and your fridge!"

and he tells Siôn where he can stick his fridge.

"We shall have to set stricter rules!"

Siôn concludes that there is only one way to solve this; he instructs Non, “We’ll have to set stricter rules. I can’t take the risk of this happening again,

"I've got a few tricks up my sleeve!"

“but I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve, don’t you worry.”

Mark feels slightly better

Mark is now feeling slightly better, and his mother says that he went back to work too soon.

Vick has been unsuccessful again

Vicky comes in, demanding, “What do I have to do to get a job?

"Probably think they can't rely on a single mother"

“The interview went well until I said I had a son – they probably think they can’t rely on a single mother. I shall never get a job!

"Everything is against me!"

“Everything is against me –and I really wanted that job, too.”

"There will be jobs in the Western Post tomorrow"

Debbie says that there will be jobs in the Western Post tomorrow, but Vicky is just expecting more rejection.

Sioned wants to start on the hard stuff . . .

At the Deri, Sioned decides that she and Gwyneth will be drinking tequila, as they have the right to enjoy themselves too.

. . . and again denigrates Kelly

She comments that Bride of Frankenstein suits Kelly,

"You usually beat people up to get your kicks!"

prompting Kelly to reply that she is pathetic, and has to drink shots to enjoy herself. “You usually beat people up to get your kicks! You don’t need a costume anyway!”

"You two going out together, or what?"

Gwyneth leaps to Sioned’s defence, and Kelly demands, “Are you two going out together or what?

"Ooh – touchy subject!"

“Ooh – touchy subject!” Sioned maintains that she came here for a quiet drink; “Oh yeah, Sioned, you knew we were going to be here because you heard us in the café.

"You're going down, Sioned!'

“You know what? Make the most of it, because you’re going to jail and everyone will forget about you. You’re going down, Sioned! No-one will stick up for you.
